Now that you point that out, I do agree. The B&M that comes to mind to most is Diamondback. In the back it rattles around quite a bit. Intimidator is very smooth in comparison to it. Glad that it hasn't started to rattle around like it's cousin has.

a giga coaster probably wouldnt be as big a deal at carowinds as a launch coaster would be. Carowinds is one of the few Cedar Fair Parks without a launch coaster.

Not sure why some folks think Carowinds is or will get a Gigacoaster. I think it will NEVER happened folks. I guess to many folks are in the if it is bigger then it is better thing.

I’ll file this as a very WILD rumor for now, but I did hear a very early whisper claiming that Carowinds may be on the short list of parks under consideration to get a B&M Wing Coaster in 2015. Cross your fingers… but this falls in line somewhat as Carowinds is due for a new coaster in either 2014 or 2015 as it will have been a good number of sinces since the park opened their last coaster, Intimidator back in 2010. If they decide to put the next Wing coaster somewhere else, Carowinds may receive a smaller coaster project instead for 2014.

I kinda hope we don't get a wing coaster personally. I'm in the Intimin Launch boat.

screamscape reporting there is a rumor that Carowinds is due for a coaster in 2014 and is on the short list to receive a B&M Wing Coaster. Where would they put this thing. I'd like to do it like Cedar Point did going over the entrance but I just dont see any wheres to put a station. Also, if you are interested, Google Maps has updated their satelite view of Carowinds, which now inculdes windseeker. I havnt checked it in awhile so its possible its been that way for awhile.

I just saw that report on Screamscape and I agree with 2015 being the year for the next big coaster. Even though I much prefer B&M over Intamin, I would not be too surprised if we did get a Wing Coaster but I do agree that we need a major launcher over anything else. I would prefer something similar to Blue Fire from Mack myself but either way is good. Maybe 2014 will bring some new additions to PLanet Snoopy. Been a while since that area got some love. I am also in agreement still that a giga makes little sense to me anything soon.

There is always a way to find space for a new coaster, space is not the issue. As for the coaster, I do really like the idea of B&M wing coaster. I will be taking my first flight on Gatekeeper in a couple of days, so I will tell you guys how it is. I could also go for a launch coaster as well. Carowinds might have the most underwhelming entrance plaza in the entire chain, but I see your point on the actual entrance building.

I'd rather see a woodie, personally, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if a wing rider went in.

yeah thats what I was talking about, over northgate, but there is no where for a station to go, they would have to remove alot of stuff or push the entrance out further so they can use that patch of green.
