This is the park map for 2013 and sadly the cabbies are indeed gone and it looks like they added the 3D Dino movie on the other side of the action theater or got rid of spongebob altogether. Looking forward to something better next year i guess, some flats like freaking DELIRIUM OR SKYHAWK COME ON CAROWINDS GET IT TOGETHER!!! *shrugs*

So, is the grove anything interesting, or is it just a corporate thing?

Edit: browsing on my tablet, colors could be off...

Unfortunately they aren't off. They are white on my screen as well and I'm using a 24" monitor. I hope this was just something that they overlooked when adding blue to the map. Afterburn with white track and off-white/gray supports would be a shame.

Afterburn's colors were the same on last years map. Carowinds.com lists "Rita's Italian Custard" in the County Fair and "SweetFrog" coming soon to the Carolina Boardwalk.

No worries guys, Afterburn is still yet sporting its blue and silver!!! I'm at the park now!! Seen The dinosaur for the first and last time. The grove is just a multiplicity of a shaded picnic area with restrooms. Now about the Dino 3-D movie, my face ----> -__- I'd rather the keep spongebob. THEY TOOK OUT THE MOTION SEATS IT'S JUST A BENCHES NOW!!! Which are quite uncomfortable might I add smh.

Thanks for the warning, I don't have to waste my time now.

I believe the other side of the building is used for Last Laff 3-D scare maze during scarowinds. Come to think of it the dinos sit where Camp Killuwee was the past few years. Ugh! Honestly I don't see how the dinos are going to be long term. That's a big plot of land they're sitting on like at least 3 good flat kiddie rides can go there. I guess we'll have to ride it out a see how long the dinos last.

On a lighter note, Thunder Road is riding very nice until you reach the last hill sections going into the tunnel and break run that part is still rough but you can feel the difference with the rehab I guess this should be the last year of rehab and in 2014 Thunder Road should be riding like a new woodie. You all think they will rehab the Hurler? He is riding very rough now a days!! Lastly the plot of land in front of intimidator; everytime I gaze at that land I see a MaXair ride there we need one, we'll be the only park down south with that type ride. Kennywood in Pittsburg opened their version last year Black Widow it's the tallest in height and in swing height.

That would give us space for a waterpark expansion, I believe, or another flat ride.

Yes, the other side of the theater is used for Last Laff, I've been in it, and it's pretty fun. But if they tore it down, they could easily build another flat, or a waterpark expansion into the parking lot. And as for Dinosaurs Alive, Why'd they even have to build that?? The NC Zoo in Asheboro has basically the exact same thing! It wouldn't bother me if they tore that down in a few years and built a nice new coaster, or expanded Planet Snoopy.
