If you're looking at ride smoothness, Batwing is the worst. A lot of that has to do with maintenance, though. Carowinds and KI obviously maintain their coasters better than SFA.

If you're looking at track layout, Nighthawk is the worst.

I agree with JamminJ. All three of these are at the bottom of my list of flying coasters. My favorite flying coaster (and still not in my top 10) is Manta at SWO.

Jay just said ours was the worst, not Batwing. In all honesty, I'd put Batwing at the top of the three, it was the least rough. As far as saying SFA has the worst maintainence of the three (KI, Carowinds, SFA), that's way wrong. The wood at SFA gets way more love than KI or Carowinds. I've been to the park several times and the coasters are always running at top form. Sadly, employees there aren't that great. The only 'rough' coaster at SFA that I usually avoid is Mind Eraser, but to be honest, I don't think any park has a smooth SLC.

It could have been the weather when I was there. All of their coasters were rough to me with lots of wheel chatter, etc. The exceptions were Apocalypse and Wild One. The comment about their coaster maintenance was merely an observation from my ride experiences, not on any inside knowledge that I have. I guess I really shouldn't have bashed the park with a general statement like that and have chosen my words more carefully. Unfortunately Roar was down when I was there so I didn't get a chance to experience it. If the ride was half as good as Wild One, they are doing a good job maintaining their wood coasters.

That's what I was agreeing with Jay on.

Mind Eraser was my first ride there and it was awful. There is probably nothing that can be done to make a full-sized Vekoma smooth.
