me and some friends will be going to SCarowinds in late September or early October, and this will be our first time going to Carowinds Halloween event, i would like to know what to expect, what will the crowds be like, and besides the roller coasters what attractions are a must see? how much dose SCarowinds usually cost ? we will be coming from 2 hours away and would just like to make the most of the trip as possible, any help or trip tips will be welcomed. thanks again to anyone who replys
this will also be our last trip to Carowinds until the park gets a new Roller Coaster/Thrill Ride, so we would like to get the most out of this trip as we can.
Thanks again for any help :)

If you go on one of the early weekends, crowds won't be as bad as if you go later. I've went opening weekend for SCarowinds and did all of the haunts and major coasters and left early.

If it's your first time, do all of the haunts first. My suggestion is to go back and do whatever is in Hurler's outfield first, then go counter clockwise. You'll get a few in really quick, and the last few you do may have a wait, but you can get in and out, then re-do the ones you like and ride rides.

The shows are usually okay to see. Depends on if they're doing a musical review or a comedy.

Scarowinds prices are semi-dynamic, in that it costs less on nights they figure will be less busy. Note: You can't leave the park and reenter.

I don't think SCarowinds is very scary, but it's fun. And if you go at the right time, you can get some decent dark rides on the coasters. If you go when it's busy, there's an hour wait for Hurler, and everything else is insane (But it's still fun).

I went there for the first time when I was 11, in 2011. I didn't think it was that scary. I reccomend NOT going on a Saturday, and go in everything you can, although I personally recommend Silver Scream Sinema, The Asylum, Last Laff, and Defex. It's too bad that they had to build that Dinosaurs Alive crap where Camp Killauee was. At least well get a new maze, Zombie High School.

Regular Carowinds is open from 10am to 5:30pm. Then, there's a two hour break where the park is closed. After that, around 7-7:30pm, the park re-opens for SCarowinds.
