I find it interesting that they are calling it "Banshee". Cedar Point had that name originally for Mantis. I actually had one of the promo buttons. Then came a change of heart by CP officials claiming the name invoked negative connotations toward women. Funny how they changed their attitude.

I would guess you must have a high level source at Cedar Fair. So do your contacts have any clues regarding a possible new ride coming to Carowinds next year, or for 2015? All those painted dots and stakes placed around the park must mean something. It appears something may be planned for the front of the park. Hopefully more than just a new entrance and expanded parking lot. But you were indeed correct about the Kings Island invert. Looks like a great ride.

My sources were not from Cedar Fair. Remember, a lot of different companies work on a new ride. And at this point I do not know what's going in next year at Carowinds. But I most likely know what great adventure has coming.

Soooooooooo, what's Six Flags Great Adventure getting then? By the way, do you work for one companies that get a lot of information on rides?

I know who used to do their sites, but I'm not sure if he still does as I haven't really talked to him in quite some time. But that's not where I got my info :-).

And honestly to that point, Jay, in this instance I:

Wasn't sworn to secrecy as the rumor had already began to spread early on.

Could name names but no one here would know these particular sources anywho.

Sometimes I know stuff and sometimes I don't. Sometimes I say stuff and sometimes I don't.

Never look a gift horse in the mouth, though.

It seems its always red, blue, green, yellow that are the main colors on coasters and this is actually different.... So now... what about the BLUE track at the B&M plant.... where could it be going..... :?

Being that Banshee is a female inspired ride, I honestly like the color scheme it goes with that concept. I am tired of seeing red yellow and blue for coasters. There many colors in the spectrum to choose from. I was happy to see then Borg sporting a black track and green wheel rails now its of course blue and yellow. The only peculiar color at carowinds is cobra with the coral looking color. I hope out next coaster is a peculiar color too.

Wasn't asking you to reveal your sources. Just recognizing that you were correct and obviously had a reliable source. Which is why I was also wondering if you had heard if Carowinds has a new attraction planned for 2014 or 2015, and what type of plan it may be. Meanwhile, I need to plan a trip to Ohio next year to ride Banshee and Gatekeeper. And of course, Millenium Force.
