I was looking at the carowinds webcams, when I went to the front page and saw a waterslide that boomerang bay is getting for 2014. It looks like a funnel ride kind of thing. Pics below

Something like this has been overdue for a long long time. Hope more slides are in the works for the coming years. Also excited to see all the changes they make to the park that won't get an announcement.

This is certainly a welcomed addition. The park is way overdue for additional attractions in the water park. Good move Carowinds and Cedar Fair!

This is awesome! As much as I'd love a proslide tornado or tantrum, this is really great, and I'll be there in line for it next year. I love water parks and really hope that a decent chunk of that $50 mill goes towards some more slides and amenities. After being at Fiesta Texas' waterpark last week and being up by Schlitterbahn, Carowinds has a lot of work to do.

They listened! This is where I was hoping the first new rides for Carowinds would end up, in the area most begging for a new attraction!

If I had to guess, it's probably going to go in that patch of green behind Aussie Twisters, to the right of the lazy river. The path is already there, so it would be real easy to incorporate the new slides there.

So excited for these! I rode a toilet bowl slide for the first time at Wet N Wild (Greensboro) last summer, and loved it.

It's going in the grassy area next to the lazy river. Here's a screenshot from the video they gave out after the announcement. The beginning of the video shows the area calling it "expansion area".
