Anybody have any idea what Kings Dominion's attendance is? I use to keep up with those things but now I have no idea. I do remember when Carowinds crossed the 1 million figure. If my memory serves me correctly, Dominion is somewhere between that 2 to 2.5 million number.

For the coaster, I'm hoping it's some kind of record-breaking wood coaster, a la El Toro @ Six Flags Great Adventure. That is by far the best one I've ever ridden, with Thunderhead a close second. We need one of those crazy, non-stop wooden beasts!

If not a wood coaster, we need some sort of launch coaster, preferably a full-circuit one.

Personally, I hope its a B&M Giga or a "Carolina Dragster", the southern version of CP's Top Thrill Dragster.
I could definitely see the tallest, fastest, longest Wooden Roller Coaster in the world hitting Carowinds. We need something to draw in those 600,000 new customers they believe it will attract.

I am grateful for the new coaster that we are getting, however personally I dont think that it wil be a "giant" coaster. I maybe something like a maverick lol. Dont get me wrong I would love to see a big new coaster but I think we are not at the point yet. Breaking recoord could be anything as discussed earlier. It could be a whole new section of big flats with the featured new coaster. I doubt it though lol. I just dont want you all to get your hopes up on a huge giga or strata. I think windseeker will be the only 300ft ride for right now.

I'd be thrilled with a Maverick style coaster. Steepest drop is fine for a record. Love Maverick.

While I'm relaying the news in from C3, it seems the big new restaurant for next year may be a concept similar to Kings Island's Festhaus in the field in front of Intimidator.

Just a giant air conditioned restaurant, with a show inside as well. Busch Gardens Williamsburg has something similar.
