That's a pretty good video seeing how they used a lot of my stuff (without permission). The early video scenes which starts at :50 is from the 16mm I own. I bought it off ebay over 10 years ago. Was told it was the original. I still have the reels. David Mandt, the PR guy from Paramount wanted a copy for their archives so I obliged. The original movie is about 22 minutes long. Glad to see they still have it. Kinda irks me a little that they used the brochure images from my earlyyears page but I forgive. I know this because of certain little marks I made on my brochure images which are also on their video. In fact, whoever runs the Carowinds FB was using several of my old original photos on their site a couple years back. I don't mind that, but they should've had the decency to at least acknowledge where they came from. Goes to show that even the "big guys" don't always play fair. I guess in this day and age, anything you put online is up for grabs and it's the chance you take.

As far as the brouchures go, wouldnt the copyright for those since theyvwere originally printed for Carowinds be theirs? However, I have seen before where they used things from your site before. I agree, they should give credit where it id due especially since little from the early history was kept by the park.

Actually they do still have quite a bit of the old days stuff. There are two huge rooms full of old things. One in the maitiance shed and a large room above the carowinds theatre.

I spent hours before looking through everything and I won't go into detail about everything cause that would take forever lol. A few of the coolest things I saw were renderings of what drop tower was supposed to look like and amazing blueprints of what paramount had in store for rapids. I was shocked and realized why they never did. It looked expensive.

Also countless boxes all stacked up dated by year and starring in 1971.

One thing I couldn't go through was a huge pallet stacked about 6ft high with boxes with a note that said "Paramount/Trash". That pallet was gone the next time I looked.
