I am just curious if it is safe to go beyond a strata coaster in terms of height. I couldn't sleep and found this video on youtube of a "Terracoaster."

Now I did notice that the work was kind of pitiful. The lift hill supports are rediculous, and the chain only at the top of the lift hill looks pointless. However, this video got me to thinking. Would a roller coaster in the 500ft club be possible? Would the average human body be able to take that much? I know some of you guys understand the mechanics and math better than myself. Maybe anyone bored that knows how to work the No Limits program could spare some free time and design a better Terracoaster just for fun.

On a side note, I am aware that the music on this video makes it sound like it was played on a sega genesis

If a company had the space and more importantly the money, it could be done. The elements would be pretty drawn out like the NL coaster in that video. The cost would be astronomical though unless they went the TTD route so I would never expect an out and back type coaster if it ever happened.

After seeing the comments on this video on his youtube video, I take back what I said. The poor kid can't even show his work without people bashing him about it, that's how the world works. The work on this coaster is not that great, but maybe he is a beginner and wanted to show off one of his early projects. It's defiantly something better than I something could of come up with. However if I have made this and posted this as a serious piece of work on the "All Things Carowinds" forum, I would have every right to be made fun of.
