I think the keyholes are so cool! But yeah it would be a little awkward to have a copycat entrance, I like the whole under the bridge idea, i wish it wasn't a wing coaster though..we need something like top thrill dragster except a little shorter because of the airports near the entrance.

Doesn't Cedar Point have something like that and it's also used as a storm shelter? I actually think that's a good use for the plantation house. A museum/shelter.

My idea would be to remove the fountain at the front and build a giant one behind the sign near the skytower:

Why is everyone jumping on tarheel? He is just showing his ideas. It's an open forum so if he wants to post what he thinks then don't go and taunt him for it. Hiding behind a screen and making fun of people is not funny or cool. I may be "overreacting" but I'm tired of seeing this stuff. I'm also not calling out anyone, it's just sad seeing people making fun of others that share the same passion. I appreciate your stuff, tarheel. Keep posting!

I agree with deaconnor. Go for it tarheel. I love the enthusiasm. I may or may not agree with you every time but I am not going to pick you apart. Something a few on CC seem to love doing a lot. One of the reasons I am not around here too often despite being an almost 40 year veteran of the park as well as being involved in the world of amusement parks and roller coasters in four different other areas. Heading back to the title of this thread, I am opposed to the removal of the current front gate period. I am open to working around it and changing things that way. Carowinds seems to love tearing away anything nostalgia related. So many classic rides have been lost. I would hate to see the front gate go also. I have to put a 'but' on this and also say that the front gate is not the same as a classic ride at Kennywood or Knoebels which I would never, ever remove at any and all costs. It is only a 40 year old building and if it would need to be removed for some new and awesome ride and redevelopment I guess I could live with it. That being said, If I had a vote, my vote would be leave it alone and do not remove it.

not if they move the front gate. And I know I have asked you before but you do read the forums, right. You circle the skycoaster which has already been stated in multiple threads that it is being removed/moved.

The Carolina State Line is at the entrance. It goes right down the middle , its iconic.

They'd never move it. And if they did, it'd be a horrible mistake.

Moving it doesnt have to mean left or right. they could move it forward, it would still be on the stateline.
