Giant Swing Thingy = Xtreme Skyflyer = Sky Screamer = Skycoaster. Which, if moved somewhere up front, would be a great addition to the entrance skyline. The only way you've been able to really see it in its current state is if you're pass parking, or if you happen to wander into the Thrill Zone by mistake.

Ya wormy, I thought that is what chargercrazy meant, the Xtreme Skyflyer because that is what we have been talking about. But then I got thrown off because he said that it will replace gauntlet, and a restaurant will go in the field. Now correct me if I am wrong, but Xtreme Skyflyer needs a little more room than where gauntlet is, correct? I would imagine the skyflyer needing the entire field and then some.

I can confirm what anonymous is saying. The Sky Screamer is moving to the front. You should have a good view of it from the rumored location of the new dining facility there by Intimidator.

It really might be none of my business but I want to remind any Carowinds employees or friends of employees who post here that Carowinds management also lurk on these boards and leaking any information you have learned as a result of your employment (or as a result of an employee friend leaking information) is against the employee handbook and will result in you or your friend's firing if caught.

But hey, at least you would be 'e-cool.'


This is from the employee handbook in 2004, but I'm sure not much has changed.

Now, the thing that puzzles me is that multiple brand-new users just happen to join the forum at the same time to leak the same information...

That's kinda weird, and a little shotty.
Granted I wasn't around at the last big revelation of a major attraction, was there a surge of "privileged" info being leaked way back when Intimidator was being teased?

Thank you Chris and Jonathan on your recent posts. I agree completely. Kind of reminds me of a smart aleck punk bully dangling a piece of candy over his little brother then pulling away and eating it in front of him with a smug look on his face. Not calling anyone names that is just what it reminds me of. Yes JJ you are so right on any earlier post, the LAST thing this park needs is to remove another flat ride.....period. Carowinds has done a poor job in the flat ride department and in saving anything nostalgic. As much as I do love the park I wish I lived near Kennywood or Knoebels as that is more of my speed. Speaking of Carowinds, about to head there now:)

^LUCKY! This was the last day and I wanted to go so bad! Anyways, the webcam for the starlight spectacular has been taken down and put where the london terror scare zone was. Anyone want to bet that the cam will be used to show the new restaurant in front of Intimidator?

I respect everyone's opinion on me and their views on the information I have posted. I have watched this forum for a while and am a 5 year season passholder and neither I nor the source of my information are a Carowinds employee so I am not in any violation of forum rules. I am a member of multiple theme park related forums and also hate trolls and ones such as you are accusing me of being. If I could provide more hard proof amd prove myself I would. Just bear with me and give me a slight pass and you will see what I have told you is the truth. If and when I can provide any hardcore proof I will.

I guess when a crane is in the park taking the sky flyer down, and a new spot being cleared, that will be the hardcore proof....
