I was at the park yesterday and I noticed that they are repainting Goldrusher a grayish green color! It looks awesome!!!+

Maybe to make the wood look more new? Or help it fit in with Borg ***?

I really don't think Goldrusher needs to be painted because it is suppose to be a runaway mine train, and the wood fits in with the theme more if it looks old.

Maybe the color change will help it fit in with Carolina Boardwalk better.

They only have it painted up to the top of the first lift hill! The transfer track is not yet painted . It is the track is getting painted!

Its not red paint, it's brown paint and rust.

I like the rusty color. The GP normally calls it unsafe because of it though.

sounds good that they are repainting it, from the sounds of the colors, it should look nice when completed.

The problem with repainting the track is that it will be slow for about a month. That is what happened with The Borg Assimilator remember. Not to mention if the Goldrusher was any slower it may stop in the middle of the course.

Not really, Carowinds tested the ride with only the lead car in 1973.
I dont have any photos of the new paint, but I do have a video.

Wow, long download, and I have cable. Still, what an awesome video! (Gone tommorow! ) The paint looks nice, it will be better when the whole ride is painted though, I wonder if they will get it done by week day operation? By the way, is it just a camera illusion. Or is the Goldrusher <span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>alot faster</span> this year. Yes, the blue trains back too!

It is a Camera Illusion, I am looking for someone to edit the video, once it is edited, and saved differently, it will be smaller. My camera saves bad.
