You're quite a few years late the skyride has come and gone along with the monorail. You probably wasnt born yet when it ran. Honestly we are going to have to except the fact the carowinds is no longer a "theme" park but infact an amusement park which so very generic. Just come and ride and leave lol.

What was in Carowinds' past shall also be part of its future.

You are not trying to say that they're bringing the skyride back. If they do that I will be so happy, not that the park is so big but my feet do get tired at times.

Does this rule also apply to the trams that take you back to your car?

You know chknwing, that would be a fantastic idea when the hotel arrives however this is happening for 2014 season and certainly not on anyone's radar with the expansion and what was announced and speculated with it. From what I understand, it will be a skyride of some sort.

I'm sorry I refuse to believe that the skyride will be in operation in 2014. At least that's what assumption I'm under with what you are saying. :?

Not saying that the skyride is happening or not, but Tarwheel1231 I would like to know why you think it would be impossible for the park to set one up in 2014? They are a very simple ride to setup. Also even though the path that the first skywheel couldn't really be used I know that one station is still together. A skywheel can easily be built within a month and a half from scratch.

Parks all over the world have been gradually removing their skyrides. Who even manufacturers them anymore? Has there been a permanent amusement park installation in the last 10 years? Seems like a really bizarre rumor to start, and why wouldn't the park officially announce it?

I dont believe anything about a sky ride at all, doesnt make any sense, our park isnt really big enough to need one, thats why the one originally in the park was removed... I am still watching and waiting for the sky flyer to start being built... I drove by the park about a week ago or so, cant really see much but looks like painting on afterburn is continuing and I saw some construction equipment by thunder road, so I guess they are doing the last phase of it? I didn't drive closer to go get pictures or anything as my phone was dying and my stupid car charger didnt want to work... oh well.

If I were you I wouldn't believe me either regarding a new installation of a sky ride style ride as it was nothing anyone saw coming. We shall wait and see.

As far as the sky coaster, what has been shown on the webcam should be enough to confirm what I have told you regarding that. Please keep in mind that it takes far longer to put something up than it does to take it down. There are phases that have to each be completed before the next can begin. Also weather will affect some phases.
