General Carowinds discussion

Based on the location of the footer and the angle that it's located at, I think this is about the only way they can get it in there without interfering with something else.

The Skycoaster "triangle" is to scale based off of the footers in the old location. The tower will be on the rock pit and you will swing out over the walkway. The Peanuts Meet-N-Greet at that location is toast.

I would also guess that most of the water is gone, because the operators have to walk from the loading platform (directly underneath the arch) to the tower while winching riders up and to catch them with the grab loop at the end of the ride.

That said, I'm not quite sure how Kennywood's works because it is over water and the tower is completely inaccessible. It's a different model Skycoaster though so I think it just has a different operating procedure.

Seriously? Don't be a d-bag just to be one. There's a huge difference in bees that are attracted to flowers out in the open and a nest of bees in an enclosed tunnel with a train going 50 mph barreling at it. If you can't see the difference, then you should stop using the internet.

IIRC, didn't the park say that they also had trouble with bats in the Cyclone tunnel? Or was that Goldrusher? Not sure about anyone else, but I don't like getting hit with bats in the dark going 30-40mph...

Because we have got onto this subject a little...I have to agreed here. I don't understand why Carowinds couldn't handle a little bee/bat problems. There are many ways to treat the bees. As far as the bats go, After the morning test runs, I'm pretty sure all the bat will leave for the day.

I think it's totally situational. If they're having an issue they'll do what's best to avoid prosecution.

Dollywood keeps the sprayers on for bees on thunderhead, Carowinds gets rid of tunnels. Whatever works cheap and fast.

I like that idea better. I thought the skycoaster would replace the pond, but I guess Carowinds can keep their landscaping beauty :D

I said it once and I'll say it again, I wish this forum had a like button. Anyways, that's actually not a bad photoshop and a excellent idea of a similar future restaurant that has been talked about. Some people need to leave your photoshops alone on this forum, there is too much drama on here sometimes.

[offtopic]Never say never, but for a few reasons not worth getting into, there will be no like button on this forum. However, you're more than welcome to plug in a few social networks in your user control panel and like each other on Facebook all you want [/offtopic]
