General Carowinds discussion

I think Yo Yo is a fun ride, but it will never be as good as a Whirling Dervish or Star Flyer. I think it's a good, quick ride to do if you're in the County Fair. Still, I've seen better swing rides at a Fair though. Even the Charlie Brown swing ride in Planet Snoopy is more appropriate.

I'm waiting for the water park myself. Or maybe a ride on Woodstock's whirlybirds.

Two thumbs up for the Harmony Hall name!

What I have found super exciting in the off season is that Carowinds was looking for an executive chef. I don't see the job posting anymore so they must have found one. That leads me to believe that the food quality will increase in the park over the next few years which is a big deal to me. Fresh ingredients will also decrease their overall food cost and increase their profits besides tasting much better than frozen food.

Executive chef is probably a position that the park has always had and all parks have. Even if you are churning out assembly line style plates of microwaved food, you still need someone to run the whole operation. I think it is a leap of faith to assume that the park is going to start using fresh ingredients or that the food quality will go up, though it does seem that the quality of the overall dining "experience" will with more options and more indoor restaurants (which is another lesson taken from Cedar Point I would think).
