From what I can remember, both were worlds apart. To me, the KI "Festhaus" was just a glorified food court with blaring tvs. There might have been a singer but there weren't any shows like the ones you'd find in the BGW/BGT Festhauses. The food was worlds apart too. The KI one had typical park food. The BGW had all the different German offerings. Since its been years since I've been to BGW, I've heard that the German food has been replaced by typical park food. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

One thing I've been wondering, if Carowinds has this big ole food extravaganza, will Panda Express, which will be right across from it, close up? Or move inside H2?

I just drove by the park and it looks like crews are working round the clock now. Looks like the midway lights are on and a bright area of lights near intimidator. I'll just check the webcam for insight.

I wonder what there up to. It's a lot going on under ripcord and then over in snoopy's junction area. Wild guess maybe there giving ripcord a light kit and re-routing the track on junction?

As of 2012 when I was last there it was german food from what I remember. I really hope csrowinds doesn't go the route of just a mall food court...potential will be severly wasted!

I think the Busch Gardens Festhaus is still German food, but they removed the beer tasting room after Anheuser-Busch sold the parks.

Any News on the Sky lift ? I was thinking if they used the Outer Hanks Station and maybe a new one at Harmony Hall ?

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer but I don't foresee Carowinds ever putting a Sky Ride back in. The trend throughout the 80's and 90's, for numerous parks, were to take them out. Carowinds could definitely use a 'transportation' ride, but a Sky Ride won't be one of them.

Yup and I agree as well. The transpo ride I can think of would be a RR but I doubt that too being there would be a course to implement into the park now unless the use the maintance roads as they once were.

Snoopy's Gr8 Sk8 has been removed from the website. It's no longer listed under Planet Snoopy Rides, or family rides. Yep.

I'm sure it'll be back next season. They'll maybe place in thrill zone with a new name and restore it to its former intensity when it was Guantlet. *wishful thinking*

I kind of doubt it, to be honest, but it would be nice. A lot of the Falling Star/Rainbow rides have gradually been removed from most parks due to maintenance issues. Both Dorney and Michigan's Adventure removed theirs, as have other non-CF parks like Holiday World, Knoebels, Indiana Beach, The Great Escape, and Clementon.
