I was a bit worried that this ride might be a little boring since it has so many big elements (my favorite inverted by far is Nemesis which is the exact opposite of that), but so far it is getting incredible reviews. Can't wait to ride it in 6 weeks or so.

Check out the line for Banshee today:

Ok ok I was just giving credit for the vid lol however yes they're a lot of great reviews for Banshee. Some friends of mine from Cincinnati said they waited almost 6hrs the day after opening day which I heard the line was almost to the front gate I really didn't believe them but I guess so now looking at that pic.

I was at Kings Island and had the pleasure of riding it opening day. The ghost of Son of Beast was present, as Banshee was down for 2 hours at opening, which created 5 hour waits. We waited till later in the afternoon, by then the wait was only 3 hours. Worth every second. It transitions extremely well between elements. B&M has a new invert harness thats similar to Gatekeeper but more comfortable. The best part of the ride is the zero-G roll at the end. KI knocked this one out of the park. The themeing is incredible, right down to the monument and eternal flame for SOB in the graveyard.
Its a very photogenic coaster with a small flaw in the station design. The station is themed like a church, you could easily have themed storage bins on the loading platform. I know it sounds petty, but they have installed about 100 lockers outside the Que. Keep in mind the que holds 3000 people easy. There was a pile of bags, drink cups, etc littering the exterior of the ride. Too easy to have something stolen.. When you go, ride it at night! Banshee is easily the best invert out there.

Pro tip: Don't bring stuff with you into the park. It makes your experience much better. You can always go out to your car if you need something or to drop off some souvenirs. I usually only bring my wallet, phone, and car keys with me into parks.

Well I definitley appreciate that vid. The coaster looks good, however I thought the supports were suppose to alternate between charcoal gray and black. I like the track color though.

I'm not a newbie to the roller coaster thing... However, when you arent permitted to even bring a souvenir drink cup into the line, its a lapse in planning on the Design Team. I'm all for keeping the "flow" going on the platform, but you also need to cater a bit to the patrons. We didnt get into line until almost 4 in the afternoon, I was also told I had to sit on my hat or stuff it into my pocket to be able to ride. Secondly, going to your car was not an option that day. I had to park at the North Ticket gate closer to the actual exit. Then you had a wait to re-enter the park.. Here at Carowinds, its no big deal to head to the car and go back in. The average wait for every coaster that day was over an hour.

I always assumed there weren't any 'pre-drops' on any recent B&M coasters because none of the recent coasters were an invert, or had a curved first drop. Now I see that they even abandoned the pre-drop on inverts. Does anyone know why they have all of a sudden decided there isn't much strain put on the chain after all?
