I agree with all the Zamperla flats, they can call carowinds home. It's sad that I sit on their website and just gaze at their major and thrill rides wishing they were at the park. Also would like them to bring back the flying carousel or some call it a wave swinger with a great light package. The yo yo is just not cutting it.

Ok I'll play. I usually just lurk here.

I really enjoy driving down I-77 and seeing the Carowinds skyline. It has changed so much over the years thanks to Cedar Fair. I know the 2015 coaster will also change it considerably so keep going in that direction.

Similar list to some of the others:

* Maverick style coaster
* Giant wheel
* Haven't seen the beer selection in a while but local craft beer besides OMB - something for us hop heads like NoDa, Triple C, Birdsong or Four Friends. Four Friends would make sense since they are down the street.
* Another water ride..maybe a new themed flume ride or even a water coaster
* trees, water, interactive fountain, more covered spaces to break from the heat.

Based on what I saw on Sunday paired with pictures shared on here, I'm optimistic in the improvement in food choices. The prices are right in line with what sporting events, concerts, and most parks charge so no complaint from me in the price.

As far as park improvements for 2015/16, I'd like to see them get back to some kind of consistent theming. I don't expect Disney or Universal level, but there is so much different character across the Carolinas, and the park has a unique name, I'd like to see them get it back in line with the existing themed areas. For example, when I go to County Fair section of the park, it should have some kind of feel like I am at one of the county fairs that used to be held around NC/SC (ok, maybe without real carnies ;)) Rides, food, and atmosphere should have tie-in to the theme. Carolina Boardwalk should remind me of the years that I lived on the coast of NC. Thrill Zone should be renamed. :lol:

Some focus and consistency on the theming would really add some southern character to the park.

I also wholeheartedly agree with the previous Ferris Wheel comments. I still can't believe we don't have one.

EDIT: It would also be awesome to see the parking lot fixed. It makes no sense on how to enter and exit the parking lot and someone is going to get run over one of these days based on what I saw this past Sunday.

Agree wholeheartedly about the parking lot. I imagine a portion of the $50 million has to be spent on improving the parking lot infrastructure. I HATE leaving the park to get back on I-77, I'm always in a panic wondering what kind of accident I will be involved in. Other parks do it much better, take notes Carowinds.

EDIT: Also, all the bathrooms except the one by Hurler are terrible and tiny. I'm sure they haven't changed at all in 30 years. More than 3 people should be able to occupy the bathroom before getting crowded.

On the topic of Beer, CP had a decent wine/beer selection at the bar by the nite time show. I wish they would put a big nite time show in the front plaza at Carowinds with some local brews as well.

I did notice they are starting to up the ante with entertainment this year. That's a great thing.

Aren't they doing some kinda beer tasting or something with that new "Spring Bloom" event? I thought I read that somewhere... or maybe I'm just going crazy, lol.

Yes:

Topiary Tasting Garden - A Taste of the Carolinas- Sample some of the areas finest craft brews, in the topiary tasting garden. Sunshine, open air, and a beverage handcrafted in the Carolinas, there’s no better way to enjoy Spring.

I agree with Carowinds removing that stupid theater. A large Farris wheel would also be nice also. I do not think they will remove it though because they hosted the choral singing in the unused side of the theater and it worked out pretty good. :o

I know all this wont be accomplished in the next two years but here is my complete list:
- Upgraded Food and Bev. options
- Flat rides (Specifcally a Huss giant frisbee, screamin swing, and riptide from knotts)
- HUGE scarowinds expansion (I picture a lineup of 10-12 mazes, actual horror properties, and hollywood quality sets)
- Launch coaster (like Verbolten or cheetah hunt)
- Drop Tower replaced with Power Tower
- Hurler replaced with "modern wood coaster" (like New Texas Giant or Iron Rattler)
- Re-do ceartin sections of the park (County Fair and Thrill Zone specifically)
