That's news to me...i thought the rumor was that Leviathan was planned for Knott's Berry Farm.

I must have miss heard the rumor. Guess that's how new rumors start, eh?

And I-305 was originally planned for Carowinds. Supposedly going in the bus lot where this one will go. Hence the reason I-305 is smaller and more compact. I heard the reason for the last minute change, but I can't recall it at the moment.

Wow..if only!!

We definitely got the better deal between the two Intimidator's... The best part of I-305 is the lift and first drop. Everything else is garbage.

Ok, let's be logical here. You have two coasters: a giga and a hyper. You have two parks, one park has virtually no near by competition but the other park is relatively close to two other parks with hyper coasters, where will you place the giga?

Disagree with the second part of the comment, but I definitely do agree that Carowinds has the better ride.

I feel it depends on who is doing the judging. The general public would likely say Carowinds came out ahead. But jaded enthusiast who are more into blood and guts on the track will say Dominion got the better deal. IMO, the general public carries a lot more weight. Intimidator is the perfect, over engineered ride, likely too perfect for some. While on 305 you get the felling the thing could eventually run off the track and kill you.

^^What I've found over the years, now, is that I don't really care what most enthusiasts say. Many of them, it seems, are going to find something to complain about anyway. All that really matters to me is that what they do attracts more GP, who are, by far, the biggest revenue generators for the park. If they are doing things that are drawing people in and driving revenues up, the park will continue to grow and expand and eventually there will be more stuff that truly interests me.

Of course I was giving my opinion, which was why I included IMO. As far as the general public goes, I highly doubt the know which is the better product. They may prefer one ride over the other, but both rides did what they were intended to do for their respective parks and the GP tend to love both rides.

Having said that, looking at track records of both intamin an B&M, I'm comfortable saying that Carowinds got the better product.

However, I prefer intamin, and it's my opinion that KD got the better ride. There are no B&Ms in my top 10 and only 1 in my top 20 (right at 20). There are 3 Intamin's in my top 10 and 4 overall in my top 20. I305 is 28 out of almost 300 and only 3 B&Ms are in my top thirty, all three above 305.

Our intimidator is 38 for me overall.

I'm biased, but then I noted that.
