General Carowinds discussion

If you arrive early, I would make a right and make your way towards Vortex, Ricochet, Hurler, etc. Most people often take a left once they step off the bridge and head for Intimidator, and continue to travel Carowinds in a clockwise direction.

However, by traveling in a counter-clockwise direction, you will possibly have short wait times for rides on the Carolina Boardwalk and in Thrill Zone. Don't worry about Intimidator, lines are usually no longer than half an hour. This worked for me when I went on a busy Saturday. If you don't arrive to the park early in the day, then ignore everything I just said.

If you get there Early and the line isn't too bad I would try Nighthawk or Cobra as those lines are usually extremely long and don't move very fast

Are we forgetting about the site plans for the new parking till that clearly showed footers for the new coaster? I don't think they would arbitrarily put those in there for no reason. Add in that its been stated on numerous occasion about making this a signature ride as you enter the park (a la Gatekeeper) and I think we can completely rule out the notion of this ride wrapping around Hurler.

We can't simply assume things because little construction has taken place. While it seems most likely that the coaster will take the route into the parking lot, it has been said numerous times on this thread that plans can change.

Speaking of little construction, remember that Disaster Transport and Space Spiral were still operating on the day GateKeeper was announced. And the land wasn't fully cleared for about a month after that, but look, it still opened on time! Carowinds knows what they are doing, and they will begin major clearing when they know they are ready. The park already has a lot of construction projects to finish for this year.

Ummmm if you check http://www.ldiline.com/showpdf.cfm?proj ... df&dir=CIV you can clearly see where the ride will go out to the parking lots/entry road.... Also got "confirmation" while I was camping on Thurs & Fri night at the park.... You can see where the coaster will go underground...

I am not saying anything further. Just go based off the blue prints for the entry.... u can clearly see where the coaster is going to go.... We will just have to see what happens :D

nope didnt talk to anyone working inside the park. I dont think the plantation house will be torn down either....just think it will not be used for season pass / ticket scanning. I am really hoping with the improvements to the park, advanced technology is added, whether its fingerprint readers or just the auto pass scan, I would love to see improvements in this area...

Quick disclaimer..

This doesn’t happen often, but Jonathan, Jay and myself were on vacation the last four days on a coaster trip of our own. While the site was kept open, we were keeping watch. Glad to see everyone contribute, but give us a day or two to get things back on track.

Brought back a couple of goodies. :D
