Exactly what we need...an excuse for more people to be so focused on their phone that they don't realize the line has moved up.

No! Please, no! How about talking to friends like the good ol days? The last thing I want is 12 different holes in the lines because everyone is too busy looking at their phone to see that the line has moved.

Hmm, I use my phone at Carowinds so much that by the time I leave the battery is dead. Mainly for taking pictures but I also use Twitter and Facebook from the phone.

I do....
My phone is almost two years old and it is a cheap Samsung Galaxy. I always turn the screen down until I need it and keep mobile data off.

Here's an idea for the Action Theatre and I'm not sure if this would work well in the park but I am throwing it out there.

Why not make it a dine-in movie theatre featuring short films. It might work as long as the food is decent and there's a/c.

Thoughts?

Holy crap that's a great idea. Where is that pic from Jonathan?

I guess the major question mark would be what to show on the screens. It seems unlikely that it would be original content (and if it was it would probably be horrible). Unless, of course, it was some sort of documentary about the park. Maybe that's something only we would enjoy.

Well, there is always the Peanuts movies.....

Since AFX is located near Thunder Road, why not have the movie that inspired the ride? I like the idea of a park documentary but why stop with Carowinds? Focus on Carowinds but include short segments on the other CF parks that could be advertisements for the Platinum passes. In addition to second run movies, kids movies and local advertisements from Sponsors.

I thought of Sci-Fi Drive in theatre but I really pulled the idea from all the dinner and movie places popping up lately like Cinnebarre and Studio Movie Grill.

For movies, you could pay a tribute to the Carowinds of old. I am sure I've seen Carowinds ads out there from when it first opened and include some updates from other CF parks like others have mentioned. Also, maybe it would be a good place to do a Carowinds behind the scenes short film. Things like ride maintenance on the wooden coasters (I always found that fascinating), .

Great idea! Even if they just showed shorts and cartoons I'd like it.

Cinebarre is so terrible. I'll never go back there. I like SMG, but preferred the menus and vibe before when it was Epicenter Theaters. Loved the illegal bread.

I honestly just would love for them to tear down action theater and yo-yo and put in a riptide and a shockwave type ride
