I disapprove of WaterWorks, it is too small and needs more slides. Tidal Wave is good, but I want a tornado slide. Best thing about waterparks are girls.

lol @ the girls. To us old men it's the Mom's we look at. :D :D :D :D

Anyhow, 99% sure no new coaster next year which is ok by me after all they did this off season.

Water park renewal? To me it does not need to be totally redone like King's Island. They could add a new slide or two and juice up the water park with scenery and themeing. Saving money on a total rebuild but putting back more excitement for the quests is all that is really needed. Our water park is a good size as it is with room to add some more slide types.

Jr. rides? As KenB stated above we have plenty of Jr. Coasters.

Kiddy Section. There is an area, I hate to say, is way out dated. They have the room to add a few more updated rides for the kiddies. Once you get past Scooby Doo it is almost a waste land and actually feels like a neglected section of the park. Trying to remember just how much space is beside the Train and that eatery would be a great place to put the, as the survey called it, Lego Land area. The kids really need some newer stuff to keep Mom and Dad buying those tickets and food.

Family Stuff. I see alot of room for improvement here but it depends on if Paramount's wants to stay a hybrid movie theme park or go all out. Just compare it to Disney or Universal and you can imagine the types of Family rides we could get.

Adult stuff. I don't see it happening. With Borg coming in and the themeing they added plus all the refreshing in general I don't see us getting squat in 2005. Flat rides are on everyone’s lips and I agree with you all. I would love to see at least 2 new style flats. Not the ones that everyone has had for a couple years but something new that no other Paramount park has.

Basically I see it being a neck to neck race for either a Water park redo of sorts or kiddy stuff all the way. Try to think of it from a Business point of view and what is going to bring in more revenue for years to come. <------Makes me sound like a fuddy-duddy.

You know, Now that I thihnk about it. There is 2 rides in Kidde Land that Have closed. (Wally Gators Tube Shoot and Elroys Space Station) They just happen to be next to each other. Maybe they may be building there next season. I do plan on investigating back there this weekend to see if my Hunch is right or not.

Wow foreseer...................Im in love w/ that hypothesis  !! Seriously speaking i would like to see carowinds turn into more of a family park vs a thrill park. I would like to see a revamp of animation station. Actually In a post in version 1.0 of CC discussion boards i mention about how i think it would be awsome to revamp that area. But what i would like to see is adding more kiddy/family attractions, Enclose the station of scooby doo and make it like a castle so the que would be a walk thru experience, make the area more cartoonish (they can add houses of the characters like they did w/ smurf island). And if i had my way i would say renovate the whole area and move everything in it to give it a totally new look.........................so much for wishful thinking!!

I am firmly of the belief that Boom Bay is going to be the expansion for 2005 or 2006. Paramount has an odd habit of doing the same things to all of its parks, and I don't think that the waterparks are going to be any exception. As far as what goes in, I believe we are up for one of those funnel slides, as well as maybe a half-pipe style slide (can't remember names). I also believe all of the older pools, including the wave pool and the lazy river, are up for an overhaul. From what I know of the structure of the plumbing system of Waterworks (which is mostly derived from close observation and extrapolation) the pump system probably needs major work.

What I would LIKE to see is a new flat. All of the flats are older, and a new Huss giant ride would really add to the park.

I am also in agreement with y'all on the subject of the kiddie area. I have also done some exploring out past Scooby Doo, and it really does seem neglected and forgotten. There is an old fountain hiding back there that I _think_ was moved from another section of the park, and it is really in sad shape. However, it looks like it would be really cool if it was cleaned up a bit and turned back on.

My two cents.

For any of those that either work at the park or were there for some of the Borg stuff earlier this year, when you walk through the employee entrance you go by the back side of the wave pool. The tanks used for whatever (I think they are filtration tanks) look like the originals. The things are rusty and practically falling apart. With that in mind, I wonder how much of the 'hidden' water park needs work, too.

I also noticed either last season or the season before they closed the two rides in Hanna Barbara land, which I questioned at the time. However, seeing as how nothing has been put in that place yet, I wonder if it will come at all. On a side note, did anyone else notice on Scooby Doo they took out the last little bunny hop before the station? It's just a straight section of track now. Anyone know why?

I would be happy with Drop Zone simply being upgraded to at least 200 ft. I do not see a park doing such a thing though.

I would like to see them make that tower bigger too. Anyway, I chose Boomerang Bay. Why, because it's a cheap and easy expansion. All they have to do is purchase a few more slides and rename the waterpark. I'm sure that a good hyper or giga coaster would bring in more atendance and popularity to the park. But Carowinds just can't afford it. Saying that they will save up would mean that Borg will have to tide everyone over for a year or three. But then again, I don't know much about the parks income, it's just my speculation.

Having gone on many S&S Space Shots and Turbo drops including Power Tower at Cedar Point, the 300 foot Drop Zone at Kings Dominion, The 200 and something foot tall Pitt Fall at Kennywood, Acrophobia at Six Flags Over Georgia, and many more, my favorite drop ride is STILL the Drop Zone at Carowinds. No need to change a thing in my opinion.

Not sure I really understand it myself, but for whatever reason Drop Zone seems to fall out from under the rider faster. Pitt Fall and Drop Zone (PKD) both had very modest airtime all the way down the tower, but Drop Zone Carowinds always seems to have more intense air that slams you straight up into the restraints.
