Gatekeeper wasn't much different, gave me a few headaches to be honest. I'm making a trip up to Dollywood next week, (and most likely a trip report to go along with it). I'll be sure to remember your opinion of Wild Eagle, though I'll most likely ride it just to say I did.

I 100% AGREE! I've ridden Gatekeeper NUMEROUS times in many different positions on the train, and it simply isn't a smooth ride. Well, at least not as smooth as one would expect from the great folks at B&M. I'm rather concerned how the wing coasters will wear and tear over time.

Since this is a wish list thread, I wish that Carowinds would've taken the time to point out that Hurler has been serving riders for 20 years. They gave Nighthawk and Afterburn props and its only been their 10th and 15th year at the park. The old woodie in the back of the park deserves some props even if it has become rough over the years. But the new retrack I guess was similar to Afterburns new paint job huh, just with out the props it deserved.

Although I have never rode a wing coaster before most people seem to agree that they're uncomfortable so I think that carowinds could benefit more from a B&M Floorless like Dominator in Kings dominion. Something like this should be able to fit in where Vortex is or if they removed the southern star I think it would be cool to have that overhead. Maybe they could paint it purple and Blue? Only thing I couldn't find was the price of Dominator. Anyone else know?

We could definitely use one of these as all means of transportation in the park have been demolished.

The one at the Magic Kingdom had a turn in tomorrowland, the one at Disneyland I think did too.

BGW is a triangle so...

And regardless of Maintenance, I can't see track being cheap enough to warrant replacing cables.

Have any if those been built outside of the prototype?

After working the Sky Ride in BGW 2 decades ago... I really wouldn't want to see that style of cable car brought back to Carowinds. Too many things that can go wrong and have gone wrong with those. Trip malfunctions are common (the system that spaces the cars on the cable by seconds. Inclimate weather that we get in this area is more frequent than in Williamsburg... this makes the ride a giant prop that no one is on during t-storms or just windy days. Let's also not forget that there is literally no restraint system on these things to prevent a accidental or (in the case I witnessed with parents going panic mode when the ride stopped for a few minutes and they literally tossed their kids 15 feet to ground) intentional falls out of the cabins.

A cable fray is the last thing I'd worry about.. all of the towers at BGW had a cable fray detection system that would immediately stop the cable and lock it in place.

How about an RMC dueling Revamp of Thunder Road, (similar to the high five coaster in China.) it would never happen due to the rides history, but this is a wishlist!

I think this would make a lot of people happy including myself.

^^How about no....It's fine the way it is. Thunder Road is not rough enough to do such a thing too. Not every coaster has to have the RMC treatment. Hurler....maybe and it's not that bad either compared to some I've had the displeasure of riding.. If Carowinds were to be involved with them a nice new coaster would be much better.

I get the significance of TR and everything but I've been on there the past 4 years and each time they rebuilt a section it felt good until the next year. Be done with it, the history of it is gone. White Lighting was honestly crap but good for its time but its legacy remains. Hurler was fun for us who remember Wayne's World. Its the same for TR fans in the 70's. Looking at the experience of the ride. Both are horrible coasters, both should go. But most think moonshine should still be our selling point. Wow. I know I'm the minority and I loved Thunder Road and still do. But its ambience has flourished away. We need a real woodie after our launch. Thats my two cents.

And Thunder Road isn't a real woodie? The structure and most of the track is made of wood....

Goliath at SFGAm is concerned a woodie by the park (and me).
