I know there's an old thread about Dollywood, but it seemed to be focused on the food, and I wanna know about the rides! Hope it was okay that I started a separate thread.

I'm really excited about this trip because I grew up at Silver Dollar City in Branson, and I'm excited to see the similarities and the differences. I know a lot of the flat rides are exact copies of some of the rides at the Grand Exposition at SDC, but the coasters all seem very different between the two parks.

I'll be heading up with my 6yo daughter. She is 50 inches tall and a daredevil, so for us, it's going to be all about the rides. Any recs on what to do? What to avoid? What to make sure we hit early in the morning vs later in the day? Any other important information?

Thanks in advance!

It really depends on the day. When we go we just go up the path to Timber Canyon and ride Thunderhead and Mystery Mine. After that we do river battle, Firechaser Express, and Wild Eagle.(I don't think your daughter will be able to ride Wild Eagle) Just continue walking around the park and you should be able to ride what you want.

She's 50 inches tall, so she should be able to ride Wild Eagle. :)
She is SO excited for it! (I am, too!)

I've never been, but a friend of mine went last week and she said that Wild Eagle was indeed open.

The kids section up there is awesome. They let our 5 and 6 year old get on the dark ride and the splash mountain type ride.
