Parking in the season pass parking garage will cost 325 dollars and will induce Fury from park guests, so there will be security guards (Centurions) to kick them out if their Fury goes too far. Its quite obvious, isn't it?

But yeah lets not steer off-topic. Centurion will hopefully be taller than Millennium Force so we won't be FURYous at Cedar Fair.

I'm hoping that it will be 325 feet tall, but I'm being too optimistic. I'm pretty much setting myself up for disappointment. If it turns out to be Centurion, then what was the 'Fury 325' trademark for? Knott's giga? (That's if they get one)
I'm hoping it will be 325 feet tall, but I'm starting to think I should have voted for the 301-310 zone.

I'm actually 50/50 on this name thing. If the coaster is called Centurion, obviously its a better name than Fury 325. But I really want the coaster to be 325 feet or over. Fury 325 pretty much ensures that. We have no evidence that if our ride is named Centurion it will be taller than 325 feet, which means the park that gets the "Fury 325" ride will get a taller ride, which defeats the purpose of the record breaking concept. Of course Centurion is a great name, but I think that along with the record breaking comments the ride will have to have the Fury 325 name. It would really suck if we got a 307 foot Centurion coaster and then Knotts announces Fury 325 which is 18 feet bigger than ours. That would really ruin the "Cedar Point of the south" idea. Also, if Cedar Fair is trying to make Carowinds "the Cedar Point of the south", why would they build a taller coaster in the same year that Carowinds receives their star attraction? That would really take a lot of the attention away from it. But who knows, maybe Carowinds will receive a 330 foot roller coaster named "Centurion". And the Roman teasers just add to the confusion.
Please excuse my rant.

I had a thought based on some of the comments about the speed...

Does anyone else think it's a possibility that they could be tailoring the height of the coaster to reach a top speed of 100mph? That would definitely set a record (Only non-launched coaster to go triple digits). Given the weight of the trains/degree of first drop/etc. it could be possible to pull this off at 325 feet.... just a thought.

Tallest traditional lift hill, Tallest drop, and Fastest non-launched coaster in the world would sure put Carowinds on the map.

I was wondering this myself (well, hoping is more like it).

I do have a theory. First of all we do not know if the coaster is B&M or Intamin. So I can use Intimidator 305 and Leviathan as an example. Go on Google Maps and measure the length of each lift hill on the coasters (not how high they are, but how many inches of the screen it stretches across). Since Intamin's lifts are usually a bit steeper, you can say I305's lift is ___ inches across the screen and Leviathan's is ___. Okay, now we have measured each lift on each coaster, now you take out the blueprints of the coaster that were recently leaked. Make sure you have the blueprints, and keep the satellite view on the same height. Now crop in the blueprints so that it is at least close to the size it will take up, where the footers are, etc. Once it is as accurately sized as possible, measure the length of the lift on the blueprints in comparison to Leviathan's and I305's.

At the same zoom level-

I305-x3 zoom- 3.5 inch lift, 2.1 inch drop
Leviathan- x3 zoom- 4.4 inch lift, 2.2 inch drop
(Since Intamins are steeper)

Okay, now I have to take steepness into consideration, but using these and the blueprints, the new ride would be around 328.8 feet WITH a B&M lift with the same steepness of lift and drop as Leviathan.

Now using the stats of I305:
With the steepness of lift that I305 has, with the EXACT stats, if this coaster was made by Intamin the ride would be over 380 feet high.

This was done using the footers all with the same zoom on google earth/maps. Took me an hour and a half to do all of it.

If this ride is made by b&m, 325-330 feet is my best guess.

(This is all based on how long the lift on the blueprints is. There were probably many flaws while doing this because I like attempting to figure things out in usually flawed ways, but oh well. I tried.)

But 325-330 feet is what it will be

We're not allowed to speak our minds on an open forum? This is a joke. Your "people" bust on us forever but we say our peace and we get our comments erased. Really? This communist reaction is funny.

This is not an open forum. Your "peace" involves hateful posts about other members and much of what you have posted since you signed up here has been inflammatory comments. You've basically been daring the mods to ban you from day one but in our infinite patience you remain. You should probably think twice about your posts before you hit submit from now on though, because my patience has definitely worn out.

Consider this a warning for everyone else as well. Tone down the vitriol. This is a forum about an amusement park. Get a grip. There are 947 members and I doubt anyone will notice if it goes down to 946.
