Yes, you are correct. When it was the Gauntlet it was more intense. I too hope to it returns with its original intensity.

I wonder if they plan on expanding the thrill zone in the direction of the new coaster? They could fit a new shop/photo center (ala Intimidator) and possibly bring in some flat rides in the next couple years? Repaint Gr8Sk8 and rename it Gauntlet, get it back up to full speed and throw it back there too? So may good things can come from this expansion, I'm definitely excited to see what comes in 2016 as well!

Please...yes...it's been a patchwork mess for a long time. And I was the one who brought up the metal detectors. They need to go - the Carolinas are about hospitality and friendliness and these certainly don't give that impression. You don't need them unless your crowds are very different than when I worked there...of course, there were those Buffet concert days...
I would also expect a new ticket building outside the Plantation House entrance like Cedar Pt and Hershey have done.

I'm soo excited for the new expansion. I think there are soo many possibilities and the can finally bring some life back to the thrill zone. There will be a bit of an eclectic theme going on, but as long as it's entertaining I don't think too many people will mind haha.

Also a little off topic but is anyone with a season pass going to Carowinds next Tuesday the 22nd that wants to help me and a friend get in for $24.99? Haven't been this year and am dying to go again. Looking forward to the announcement!
