After checking out Google Maps, it looks like a dive coaster would actually fit quite well. I sit corrected. Carry on...

I just hope we don't get a dive coaster, personally I'm not a fan. After this Giga, Carowinds DESPERATELY needs a launcher, and after that a GCI woodie.

^ I completely agree with that sentiment.

The last thing we need is another B&M right now, and definitely not a Dive coaster.

I hope we get a Blue Fire Mack Launch next. Then a GCI woodie to possibly replace Hurler (although it doesn't have to if they continue the rehab and smooth it out more). Maybe after those we'll get something more "gimmicky".

Cedar Fair counts Disk'O's as coasters (not many else do). I expect we'll receive one very soon, possbly in 2017, as part of a flats package or Boardwalk/County Fair expansion (those areas need some family rides and Thrill Zone needs intense flats). I also think we may see the Action Theater renovated into a new 'Wonder Mountain Guardian' style dark ride. So the future of the park coaster-wise is definitely looking bright.

Maybe if GCI re-makes the other two turns and removes the trims on Hurler it could become a popular ride, and a GCI woodie would be unneeded. Maybe after the launcher they could put Wing-Rider or GCI Woodie in the parking lot next to Thunder Road. But like I said on one of these threads, I would love to see a record-breaking accelerating (0-85 mph) White Lightnin by Premier with the world's tallest vertical loop, and of course a 220 foot tower. The exact layout as the old White Lightnin except record breaking! :D Just an idea.

EDIT: Here's a (Crappy) rendering of where the rides could go. (2015, 2017, 2020)

Unless something has changed, the park says that the land on the other side of Thunder Road will eventually be used for Boomerang Bay expansion, allowing the walkway under Thunder Road to connect both sides of the Water Park.

Regarding the single-loop shuttle idea, I'd much rather we get something different like an Intamin Impulse or a Mack launch than the exact same concept with a big loop. But, here's an idea. Trade Vortex to Knott's and get their shuttle coaster. Lol. Who would WANT Vortex??

Btw, is it too early to have someone make a mock-up of what the whole parking situation/new roads/ the two new entrance paths and the toll booth will look like using the prints and plans? I'd love to see that.

And I would like to see that as well.

Hasn't someone from Carowinds stated that they would love to see a launched coaster in the future? Or maybe I'm just imagining things.

Anyway my wish this time is...

There is only one slight problem with Cheetah Hunt... Intamin. I'm not saying I have a problem with them, but Cedar Fair would disagree.

Yeah I know. I wish Intamin didn't have the problems they've had. To me they make the best coasters. Cheetah Hunt, Maverick, I305, Millinnium Force, TTD, Volcano are all some of my favorites. B&M is good... but as far as I'm concerned they are #2 in the steel coaster race.

I liked Cheetah Hunt, but when I was there 2 years ago it was breaking down a lot. And I hear they may still have some problems with it. Not sure. But Intamin coasters such as I-305 and Skyrush do seem to have strong levels of speed and intensity. And Millenium Force is a great coaster. Not sure how well Leviathan compares in that regard, but it seems to get very favorable reviews. So apparently B&M also makes a good giga.

I just personally thought cheetah hunt was boring. But, on the other hand I really liked verbolten! I really want to see cedar fair work with others other than the standard to them!

I wish CF would work with Mack, Gerstlauer, RMC, Gravity Group, Zierer, Premier, Maurer, and S&S.

All make thrilling and seemingly more reliable coasters. And several of them CF had never worked with before and are US companies.

I don't get why they avoid them.
