^The post is directly above you, there is no need to quote it. (now this looks silly, being the first post on a new page  )

Millennium Flyer trains are VERY expensive. Currently there are ZERO non-GCI coasters with Millennium Flyer trains. I know they say "never say never," but Hurler or Thunder Road will never get Millennium Flyers.

And if Wildcat at Hershey is any indication, maybe it's for the best that coasters that weren't initially designed for Millennium Flyers, continue not to have them.

Yeah, Wildcat sucked with PTCs and it still sucks with Millennium Flyers.

I only rode Gwazi when it had PTCs but I can't imagine it's that much better.

Actually jay, there is precedent now. The Jr woody at legoland Florida wasn't built by GCI and used to run 2 bench Jr PTCs but they recently switched to Jr Millennium Flyer trains.

Is love to see hurler get them after they finish retracking.

I disagree with your whole premise. One bad apple shouldn't ruin the bunch. There once was a time when Thunder Road ran trains that were themed towards cars...you know the whole cops versus moonshiners bit....back when the stiller was still around the queue line. Anyways my point is: the trains then resembled oddly close to today's Millennium Flyers, at least from the pictures that I have seen online, just with the front end made to look like the hood of a car. And yes the MF trains have more modernization in them. So that being said I thoroughly would embrace the idea of Thunder Road and/or Hurler getting them sometime in the future....and yes NEVER say NEVER.

They improved the ride (Gwazi) for a few months. However it's now worse than with the PTCs. I skip it every time I go now. I think I'd rather ride an SLC again before ever getting on board Gwazi ever again. I want to be first in line when they take the wrecking ball (or implosion) to it.

The end of the ride seems boring and a waste of some great space.

Just to be clear, that is not 100% correct. That is what I thought and posted it on a different forum a couple of years ago. With my luck, one of their engineers was a member on that board (which I was able to verify) and corrected me.

He let me know they did the initial consulting and engineering work. They also did the first work on it in 2008. The remaining work that was done on it was based on their initial consultation but their crews didn't do the work. If you check out their site, you'll see that they are claiming to do the rework on it in 2008 and more in 2013 - not the years in between. The rest of the work was done by the park or contractors hired by the park.

Dudley is a log flume which carowinds ripped out to build Intimidator. I seriously doubt they build another to replace it. They could have just put intimidator in a different spot if they wanted a log ride in the park.

See Shoot The Rapids at Cedar Point. They tore out an old log ride for Maverick, and put a new one in.

And that worked out well for them what with trying to drown some folks and all.

There are other companies with better safety records than Intamin that make water rides.
