I thought I would offer up a little challenge to liven things up around here. Of course it's a friendly challenge. With Jonathan's permission and Max's help I challenge each and every one of you with a digital camera to come up with your 10 best pictures from Carowinds.

Goal of the contest is to capture shots that are rarely seen on this site or any others. Something other than the skytower shots. Although very beautiful, there often seen. For example, if you can figure out a way to the top of Pipeline Peek to get a shot of the park without getting your camera soaked. I would say that shot hasn't been seen often.

If the board admins will get on board, I figured that they could be two of the three judges. Of course the rest of the connecters votes will count as the third judge. Deadline of the contest, I will leave up to Jonathan. I would advise though that he gives everyone enough time to participate.

Oh yeah. One more thing. Coaster Bruh, I expect big things out of you!

heh heh heh...........Its funny you come up with this because i was looking at some shots I took sunday and I was like man, I dont know where i get it from lol lol........Ok im steping of my high horse now. Seriously i think thats an awsome idea and i think i have 10 ready for submission!!

Edit: Just had an idea, what if in addition to the 3 or 4 judges, the 'finalists' are narrowed down using a poll, so that way us members can vote. It can then count as a certain percentage of the results, i.e. If there were 4 judges, plus the poll, the member vote would be worth 20%, as well as each judge counting for 20%.

Can't wait to see how this contest plays out.

Last but not least, my all time favorite. I took this in 1990 when flying with a buddy of mine in his helicopter. It is NOT with a digital camera (which may or may not be a rule). But I thought I'd share it with you guys anyway.

Are you still going to include or disqualify shots taken from rides where cameras aren't allowed? I mean, they can make for an incredible shot, but I don't think you want anybody breaking rules to get that almighty shot for this contest. I suppose this should also include shots taken from unauthorized areas as well. Then again, this isn't my contest and I'm not making the rules. But it is a valid point to bring up nevertheless.

Thats a GOOOD question because i have several shots from drop zone and gold rusher. I mean they see my camera in my hand but no one has said anything to me about it so i figured it was ok.............

Will the quality of the photo be graded or just the subject. I don't have a good camra so that "perfect" shot might be a tad too dark.

I have a liking for coaster photos taken at night with the coaster all lit up or during twilight and the coaster is a silhouette. Since we don't have any that are lit decently some silhouette shots if done correctly could be interesting.
