Last but not least, my all time favorite. I took this in 1990 when flying with a buddy of mine in his helicopter. It is NOT with a digital camera (which may or may not be a rule). But I thought I'd share it with you guys anyway.

Maybe it is just me but I think he was just giving ideas of pics for people to take. I see nothing wrong with his post but to each his own I guess. Let's steer this car back on the road and get back on topic.

Just to clear up a few questions that have been asked.

NO, these photos do not have to be digital. I just menitoned digital because that's the easiest way to get them to the PC.

Yes, they need to be photos of Carowinds obviously.

As far as whom judges, or how many we have, we'll leave it up to Jonathan to decide. I would prefer to let the one's who can't participate with their own photo's be the one's who judge. That way everyone is involved in the contest.

I think when judging or voting on pictures we must take clarity into consideration. I know that even with a Kodak disposable you can get some pretty nice shots with good clarity.

As far as taking pictures in areas where there not permitted. I wouldn't recommend getting caught But....If you happen to do so then we'll leave it up to the judges. Honestly that may be a hard one to police (other than the obvious on board coaster shots).

One more thing, I really like a lot of the pictures already being posted. I think though that we need to let Jonathan figure out where he wants to go with this and what route to take as far as posting everyone's pics on the same thread. I just started this thread as an idea. Let's let Jon create a new section/thread for the contest. Good luck....

Edit: Just had an idea, what if in addition to the 3 or 4 judges, the 'finalists' are narrowed down using a poll, so that way us members can vote.  It can then count as a certain percentage of the results, i.e. If there were 4 judges, plus the poll, the member vote would be worth 20%, as well as each judge counting for 20%.

Can't wait to see how this contest plays out.

I would like to take part in this friendly Competition, but since I do work there and I have access to the restricted areas that most guests are not allowed in. I would like to be a Judge in the Competition just so we can make this fair for everyone. I plan on taking pics and Posting them, but I will make them ineligible Now of course I am requesting the permission from the Jonathan.

^^ Nice view. I saw the others you posted on TN and thought they looked very nice as well. I always thought that on board shots of Top Gun would look cool, I just never felt like sneaking my camera on the ride. I suppose being an employee does have it's benefits after all
