Here are my top ten reasons I like Carowinds. Please, feel free to add yours.

1. Atmosphere
2. Friendly Staff willing to talk to you as they pass by.
3. Diversity of Coaster types.
4. Openess of areas.
5. Snack foods.
6. Platinum Pass parking.
7. Constant additions made to enhance the park.
8. Inviting us to partake in promotions.
9. Reaching out to Coaster enthusiasts.
10. Seeing KenB almost every Sunday I go.

My top 10 reasons for loving Carowinds:

1. I have a season pass
2. It's closer than Kings Dominion
3. It's closer than Six Flags over Georgia
4. It's closer than Dollywood
5. Walking and exercise
6. Two entrances (North & South gates) - many parks do not have these
7. I live 4 miles from the park
8. Ricochet
9. Top Gun
10. Thunder Road

I am about the last person you all would expect to follow up on this post but here goes nothing.

1. To see families smileing haveing fun
2. Borg
3. Nice place to do some walking (on the right days)
4. Only park around that is not packed on weekdays
5. The park cares about what people want built in the park
6. Good place to meet people or spend time with friends
7. They have the crybaby candy that I cant get anywhere around here
8. The offer to be in the commercial shoot and photo shoot.
9. I grew up going to carowinds there are alot of memories there
10. Visiting the ducks under Borg (Are people allowed to feed them?)

I'll bite...(some of mine are more past memories of the park)

1) Funnel cake. Usually my last thing I do before leaving the park
2) Night rides on the Hurler (when its running good....)
3) The atmosphere the park exudes when its dressed up for Scarowinds.
4) I met Wednesday Addams there.
5) Several memorable concerts at the Paladium back in the 80s (the Outfield, Night Ranger, Howard Jones, Tear for Fears, Robert Palmer, Duran Duran just to name a few)
6) Camping at Frog Creek (the original name of the campground)
7) C3---okay I'm biased---But, I'm glad to be involved in the planning of a national/regional coaster event at the park that brings it some attention. (or *cough* respect *cough*)
The coasters at the park.
9) The memories of the park from the time it opened until the present. Its amazing to remember what the park was like when it first opened.
10) Two words: White Lightnin'

OK I have to Agree with CMT. Anywhere I go in Carowinds it always seems to Trigger memories of my past. This is a combination of playing in the Park as a guest and my 9 seasons working there (Probably what brought me back after a 2 season hiatus)

10. The Atmosphere-………Everyone is having fun including yourself, and you’re the cause of it.
9. The Past Memories as a guest- When I was in my Wee Years going there during IBM Family Fun Day in the fall, And in my pre teen years during the summer.
8. The People- I have met a TON of people there and never disliked any of them. Yes I have met some of my former Girlfriends there.
7. Park Growth- I have seen Locations, Ride’s Etc come and go. It has helped me adapt to Change (If you knew me you would know that I don’t like changes)
6 Young and Scared Kids- OK I don’t torture them however I do make them feel at ease and when the ride is over and done with they go from Scared to…”I want to ride that again…That was Fun” I was once like them.
5. Being able to go behind the scenes- OK how many of you wanted to go to the bottom of the Bat wing tunnel @ Top Gun or walked the Trough @ Rip Roaring Rapids.
4. OK Just one question……Can I have some park Tickets? This Question as an Employee I hear very frequently. I thought I was sick of hearing it when I quit, but it felt good hearing it again when I went back to the park.
3. Pre Season and Post Season- The anticipation builds in the Beginning and you never want it to End, but wait……. There is always next season. It’s always a Reunion during Preseason.
2. The Memories as an Employee- I think this ranks higher than a guest because I have spent more time there as an Employee. I have met a lot of people and worked a lot of places. I still find myself looking at certain areas and remembering the past.

And Finally the Number one reason I like Carowinds

It’s the Entertainment of the Carolinas- There is sooo much about Carowinds that no one can beat. Everyone enjoys going there during the summer. It continues to bring more people each year. If only it was more affordable then they would have more in attendance.
