Other than the coaster, I full expect them to expound on the major infrastructure going on at the park over the next few years. I'm expecting major developments that will put Carowinds firmly in the Premiere Southeastern Park status.

I would consider carowinds to be already. In your opinion what do you think they need to add/fix?

I am so stoked for Carowinds' future. I've been going since 1990, worked there in 2001, and am continually impressed with the new life and big changes cedar fair is bringing to the park. The 21st will be amazing

They need to have at least another half dozen quality flats as well as a larger planet snoopy IMO. I think they are lacking on both areas.

They also need some in-park transportation like cable car/monorail/train. Something to get from one end of the park to the other which also adds +1 to a ride count.

This year they made a major step forward with the food.

I haven't gone yet this year, but I'm hoping I can go to SCarowinds so I can see the construction of the new coaster.

I think Carowinds needs more flat rides, but that's obvious. I hope the park does a better job with landscaping. It's decent right now, but it could be better. Dinosaurs Alive needs to die, and new family attractions should go in it's place. The waterpark needs a mat racer and a drop capsule slide. The Action Theater could be really useful if they put a Dark Ride in it or even the action seats, but it seems boring right now. Infrastructure needs to be improved, better food options (even though it seems like the park has done a pretty good job this year with Chickie's and Pete's, and Harmony Hall). So yeah, that's about it for me.

well the rumor is Cedar point may be turning their arcade into a dark ride. Carowinds is really missing a good arcade, they have a few small ones but nothing significant. Why not ship the arcade machines down from cedar point to Carowinds and turn the Action theater into a huge arcade.

^Arcades are so.. 90s? There's no use playing any of those games when you have so much better stuff in your living room. Take em all out I say.


But anyway, I don't think the Juke Box Diner will live past the end of the year. I can see it being removed completely or undergo a complete transformation like Outer Hanks into Chickie and Pete's.

In addition to what everyone else said above, the bathrooms need to be bigger. This cramped 2 stalls/3 urinials business isn't going to work anymore when the park has nearly 3 million guests coming through the gates. The only good-sized one is by Hurler/CenFuryion, and I'm sure it will be seeing a lot of use next year.
