shoot the rapids is not a log ride, its more like white water falls then anything.

Shoot the rapids was meant to be a replacement for the log flume though.

I have a feeling that if it weren't so problematic and if Dick was still in charge, they'd have gotten at least one more.

I never understood why the first drop was the largest. I saw it at cedar point but it didnt not intrest me one bit to go ride it...

The first drop is larger, but the second drop gets you a lot wetter, like DRENCHED. The first drop just got a few splatters and thats it. Source: Rode it.

If Carowinds were to ever get a Splash Battle, where would it best be placed within the park?

My gut response would be in planet snoopy where the old time cars were. Near the water park across from cobra is also an ideal spot to me...

^^Yeah, my first thought was near the Cobra, but I forgot about the old time cars ride that used to be in planet snoopy. I think that, since it is a family attraction, it would be better suited for planet snoopy. Just my opinion

I would be glad to see the sidewinder slide be taken out, since it's right next to the path near Cobra. They could do a lot of things with that space. New slides, water ride, splash battle, or a flat ride. You might be able to fit a Screamin' Swing or a Slingshot ride in that space. Best case scenario for me would be remove Sidewinder, add Screamin' Swing, remove DA add splash battle, remove mini-golf add slingshot.

The last thing we need for our water park is to remove slides. There are plenty of places for a scream'n swing.

I just think Sidewinder is in a great location, but is a sub-par slide. Maybe they could put a new slide tower there? All I'm saying is that I think they could put something better there than a small slide that not many people ride.

I agree the very last thing to do is remove anything in the water park. This won't be popular but I actually would prefer a Planet Snoopy expansion to a Boomerang Bay expansion.
