I like Intimidator during the day and night, but for some reason, I find Hurler more enjoyable at night. I don't know what it is, but it just feels better at night.

One coaster I'd really like to ride at night is Afterburn. Seems pretty cool at night.

Afterburn is definitely a night ride. At scarowinds one night Intimidator felt blazing fast with the cool wind blowing against my face.

The best night ride I had is shocking to me, Thunder Road. It was one night and I was sitting in the back row. We went around the turnaround and on the first drop it felt like it jerked me down punishing me with airtime. Definitly would consider riding this coaster at dark. It feels so fast that it takes away from the roughness on the latter part of the ride.

Afterburn by far. Also Hurler, Thunder Road and Intimidator are okay. Nothing at Carowinds beats Afterburn at night. Simply awesome.

I like everything at the park better at night but i would say Thunder Road front row is my favorite. There are no lights thought the ride which makes it a lot of fun.

Afterburn front row. With no other cars in front of you, the track almost disappears and leaves you twisting and turning in darkness!

This is slightly off topic, but unfortunately Carowinds does not have a great night atmosphere. Not enough of their rides have lighting packages which is what I feel is needed to have the great night ambiance at an amusement park. Because of that, I really don't enjoy going to the park at night.

To answer your question, it would be Afterburn but that is my favorite ride day or night.

I'd have to say the Afterburn, particularly in the front row. The Goldrusher is also good at night, as well as the Intimidator (but it's better at Scarowinds when you drop over the que for Defex.

Nighthawk. I went on Nighthawk at night a few years ago and it was amazing with all the fireworks shooting off...

I agree and on top of that you really only get a good hour of night rides unless its 30 degrees out for scarowinds, which is why I wish the park stay open until 11pm during summer. Anyway my fav night rides are Intimidator, Windseeker, Afterburn, Scream Weaver and Nighthawk.

Does Roarin' Rapids close when it gets dark out? I know it would be freezing cold, but it seems like something fun to do.
