Last time I visited Carowinds (8/13/14) I saw that Afterburn was closed with a board saying 'This area of the park is closed. Sorry for the inconvenience.' I thought it was weird that none of the trains were running... Anyways, I heard rumors on facebook that they needed a piece before it was to operate again. (Once Again, Rumors.) Hopefully it won't be long till it's operating again... If somebody knows what's going on, feel free to respond.

If its closed then that would mean its been closed since Saturday. I was there that day and one train was slightly up the lift and the was slighty out the station with the exit area and photo booths barricaded off. Also Southern Star, Thunder Road and Yoyo were all closed that day. The bumper cars and games were the only things operating in that area I was rather pissed off TBH.

I was at the park Monday and Afterburn was running but I don't know if it was running with people on it. I was going to the water park so I didn't see if it was closed.

There's only two coasters in County Fair...Afterburn and Thunder Road.

I figured it was a power surge because of the t-storm that rumbled thru but then dodgems were operating and no other ride in that section I found it kind of strange.

Some people like to count is as two seperate coasters. I believe there is only one op running the coaster, so I count it as one.

You need to get your eyes checked then. Each side has it's own operator. You exit the coaster between them.

I count them as two. You could ride the blue side 100 times, and never ride the grey side. How many credits would that count as? Of course everyone is entitled to count (or not count) however they wish, and it doesn't help that I'm a known credit whore... :?

Wait, what is this topic even about?

Thunder Road was open Wednesday, but only the left side was running. Afterburn ran prior to the park opening, but was closed all say Wednesday.

Thunder Road are racing coasters, there are two... Carowinds even qualifies Thunder Road as 2 coasters.

Plus, It was a nice sunny day when I went...
