General Carowinds discussion

I guess I'm the only selfish one but I'd rather Carowinds not remove anything they don't have to. Some of you guys are really hung up on taking things out. You know they have plenty of room and don't absolutely need to get rid of a ride to put in a new one...

PS Falcon's Fury looks like a death trap. Lmao.

Lol, Replace Drop Tower with a better drop tower... Like Acrophobia or Falcon's Fury.

P.S. im new. Those ideas sound probably sound pretty stupid.

I am curious how much room they have available to build and expand (talking about beyond the new land they have purchased). When visiting KD and KI this year, it looks like there are acres upon acres available if they feel the urge to buy and develop it. How much more room is there at Carowinds? And do they even need a bunch of room if they ever get the urge to climb up near the 15-16 coaster count (without removing flat rides, etc.)?

Just food for thought.

Aside that, I think he's asking if there's anymore land available for purchase like that chunk behind hurler, next to the campgrounds and the wooded area next to the already purchased land.

I actually really like our drop tower. The acceleration on it is great, and the GP loves it. One of my friends even said they liked it more than Mach Tower. What the park really needs is some sort of launch. What do you guys think of a giant slingshot ride like Cedar Point just got?

I rode the sling shot at Kings Island once and it was one of the most disappointing things I've ever been on. Horribly boring after the initial release and not worth paying for. Those rides may have been cool when they first came out decades ago, but now they are not that interesting.

About our Drop: Our drop is incredibly awesome even compared to the much taller ones. That is my opinion. With that said I think the GP would love a 300 foot version just from the appearance of it. I heard us get picked on because of the size but to me it is one of the better ones out there.
I could go for a larger version just to see the number of riders increase, along with the watchers.

Another wish of mine is that they all but gut County Fair section and add several Flat rides complete with lights. Make the food in that section actual Fair foods. There is plenty of room if you get rid of the 2 most undesirables in that area and place the games accordingly.

Our Drop Tower is just as good as any other tower. You know that saying, 'It's not the size of the boat, it's the motion of the ocean!'. Well, in this case, it would be a tower with a powerful drop, but you get my point.

Why does everyone hate Cyclone so much? I don't ride it that much anymore, but when I do, I still love it. I guess I have a soft spot for it since it was my first inverting coaster.

Carowinds needs to add rides, not remove them. I'm sure there's plenty of room to expand.

I personally like the Cyclone a lot. It was my first coaster actually, and I still find it fun.

The real question is why everyone seems so obsessed with removing things.
Yes, realistically things have to be removed but downright "wishing" them removed when you could just wish they be added is ridiculous. Or maybe i'm taking the wishlist wording a bit too seriously...

Well, i think it's because people want to see all the semi-not popular rides get removed and be replaced with better ones. It actually makes sense, but we have to remember how much other space they have.

I don't mind the Cyclone being there, but I hardly ever ride it. It's ridiculously bumpy, and quite short. It was my first inverting coaster as well, but I wouldn't really care if they removed it.
