Have you ever wondered what the American Coaster Enthusiasts are all about? Thanks to the kindness and generosity of a Carowinds Connection member who wishes to remain anonymous, we have three associate ACE memberships to give away. There are three requirements to be eligible to win:
1) You must have registered for Carowinds Connection before this thread was posted.
2) You must be at least 16 years old.
3) You must have never been an ACE member in the past.
To enter the contest, email contest@carowindsconnection.com with your first and last name, age, Carowinds Connection screen name, and answers to the following five trivia questions:
1) Carowinds was designed by an architectural firm based out of California. Name the firm and three other amusement parks that they designed.
2) Name one of the two steam locomotives that ran at Carowinds when it opened in 1973.
3) Name three of the animal mascots that roamed around Carowinds when it opened in 1973.
4) Name all of the roller coasters that have operated in the past at Carowinds but were removed.
5) The "Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt" shop in Carolina Boardwalk has had at least seven different uses since it was constructed to open with the park in 1973. Name four of them.
All correct submissions will be put into a random drawing to decide the three winners. No discussing of answers on the forum! Submissions must be received by 11:59 PM EST on August 20, 2014. This will give the winners plenty of time to register for the Scarolina Coaster Classic if they wish to attend. Good luck! Huge thanks again to the generous donor.
