General Carowinds discussion

Give and take? If the park is getting bigger than there shouldn't be much if any take. Big roller coasters aint going to keep the general public coming year after year. Carowinds makes their money off of season passes, we are not and will never be Cedar Point.

After 2015, another waterpark expansion should be in order or expansion of Planet Snoopy. Update and upgrade the bathrooms. They got the food places under control this season. Great job on that front Cedar Fair.
Carowinds has just outgrown it's size faster than Paramount grew the park.

Carowinds had go karts??? Learn something new everyday. And roller, paramount added 7 new coasters, one dark ride, 4 flat rides and not to mention doubled the size of the water park by adding 7 slides and a kids lagoon...I want you to remember that.

Carowinds isn't competing with the Wendy's down the street.

I don't like the prices or the generally terrible quality and selection of food either (note: haven't been since Harmony Hall opened), but you've got a captive audience that is stuck in the park and the vast majority are not going to leave to go outside the park to eat.

Can you ride multi million dollar roller coasters at wendy's????

I find it funny that most of the people complaining about the food prices are the season pass holders. You know, the ones that are paying on average less than 10 dollars per visit and getting free parking...

Go to a sporting event, a concert, a disney on ice or a circus and tell me the prices on their food/merchandise...

although getting new coasters is really great,
there seems to be a trend of give and take.
When it was announced the worlds first, original flying coaster was coming, you didn't have much time to gloat.
Because in the instant you realized, you were losing the boat.
Then intimidator came speeding in, in 2010...you heard the teaser zoom.
But what a cost to pay the boss, you lost the decent log flume
Now something new is coming above and below
A lot of you are guessing, only a few of you know
The new additions gonna be great...but you can't dismiss de ja vu
I hate to be the one to tell you...to tell you...to continue please deposit .25 cents...to continue please deposit .25 cents

Dangit! I ran out of money...

Kudos man. This is pretty good, lol!

Most people would do just about anything to save money these days. And it's a different story when you have six other family members, with an average total of over $100 per meal. Just like any event or thrill park I understand Cedar Point's marketing techniques, but they should at least have reasonable prices. Just my few cents.

^No one is forcing you to buy food at the park. If prices are such a big deal, bring your own lunch to the park. My family used to bring some wings and drinks from Walmart. You can even grill or fry outside of the park. And while I love Carowinds to death, the food you bring to the park is probably better than the food inside.
