Pretty sure they are not worried about anyones attire as long as your not wearing competitors clothing. With the amount of people that will be there there will be plenty of people there in shorts and sandals along with media members dressed business casual.

I Im almost sure the park has sent emails advising what type of event it is and that would probably include the dress code. Which is what started this convo...the park advised someone the dress is business casual...

Dabrian: No. The Facebook invites will probably not be dressed for the announcement and the park knows that. We, on the other hand, are the coaster enthusiasts. The park is counting on us to help them hype the attraction and show excitement - including in news interviews if that comes up. They expect a certain respect for their "brand" from us and in return, they provide us the opportunity to experience things like media days or announcement days.

I think fashion logos are ok. Such as Polo, alligator (Lacoste) and so forth. They just don't want advertising for other amusement parks such as Six Flags.

This is partly correct. The park DEFINITELY doesn't want competitor apparel. As for the other logos, small logos that come sewed onto the front pocket area of a collared shirt (Lacoste, Polo, etc) are ok. But those shirts that have the a logo plastered on 8" high font across the entire front of the shirt are frowned upon.

I've worn jeans (no holes or garish things attached) with a plain colored tshirt or a polo collared shirt to all of the media days I've been to and been fine.

Hey, just like me! I like being early. We should all meet somewhere before hand, so we can meet each other. Then we can head over to the park. Any ideas on meeting places nearby to the park? We could even meet in a hotel lobby or the Wendy's. It makes no difference really.
