What the manufacturer calls them is irrelevant because the park is who does the marketing, not the manufacturer.

I know most everything as well, but I'm still pumped for Thursday. It will make it even more fun to see the reactions from everyone. I bet most of you won't believe your eyes after some of the finer details are released. I imagine Carowinds will be the talk of the offseason and all of 2015..

I think since Millennium Force was the first coaster to break the 300' barrier and Intamin (or Cedar Point) called it a giga coaster that term stuck for enthusiasts and parks. Same for the strata-coaster term for 400'+ coasters.

Regardless of the manufacturer, the coaster falls into the giga coaster category if it is between 300-399 feet.

It depends on who it is. Close friends that I know won't tell anyone I don't mind sharing info with. As seen on here, I don't mind dropping hints to help folks figure it out on their own (or confuse them as the case may be, lol). But I won't post any "straight forward here is the press release" type information anywhere. That's what the parks are looking forward to doing and I don't want to spoil their fun.
