I had been lurking around since 2011 when Vortex was repainted, and I continued to read the site ever since. Once Windseeker opened the following year, I really wanted to join all the talk about Carowinds. I'm sure I annoyed several people, especially during the Banshee speculation. But now, I try my best to shut myself up and to watch what I post. All in all, Carowinds Connection is a place that I'll always remember and love.

Been going to Carowinds since I was around 7 years old, and I can't get enough. I decided to join so I could speculate about the new coaster and such, since no other Theme Park or Coaster forum had as much activity centered around Carowinds. I've done some photography for their social media and stuff for the park as well.

When I was much younger, I was a heavy enthusiast of theme parks, rides and their engineering. This was the first message board i signed up for, cause Carowinds is my home park of course!

I think I followed a link from Coasterbruh from either CBuzz or pre nazi era TPR.

Plus I know all the mods now. Actually, I think I've met most if not all of the charter members except RollerBee (by choice...kidding! But not really).

Indirectly, it was seeing some skinny dude wearing a Son of Beast t-shirt when my friend James and I were riding Hurler, and introducing ourselves after the ride. Yeah, that dude would be Jonathan, who I had seen posting on rec.roller-coaster. This led to me over the years meeting up with the rest of the CC old-timers and learning such odd words as Whootah! and awesomefied.

Directly, the reason was StealthBorgNightHawk taking the place of the Sternwheeler in the middle of the park and the discussion of all that entailed. Prior to that I primarily talked Carowinds and other parks on CoasterBuzz and RRC.
