Instead of that Intamin junk... What about this: Hopkins Rides
I found out they also made Splash Mountain, Which is a pretty nice log flume. (Sorta Wishlist) That would be cool to have a Log Flume/Dark ride at carowinds. Though its unlikely in my opinion.

I wouldn't mind seeing Carowinds get a larger Skyrush or an Intamin launch coaster like Maverick or Cheetah Hunt.

Their Super Flume looks nice if Carowinds were to bring back a log flume. But the "big splash" coming next year may actually mean a water park expansion. And hopefully with a huge waterslide of some sort if that is the case. But I would rather see a flume ride or water coaster.

Intamin 4 Ever wrote:TTD is has been running great the last few years. TTD was 10-15 years ahead of its time. I am sure b&m will have substantial dowtime with their first launcher(hulk launch was not done by b&m) thunderbird at holiday world even though it will only be launching less than 60mph.

You just showed why B&M is where they are, while Intamin is trying to catch up. Intamin has no problem throwing a ride out there that's 10-15 years ahead of its time and full of flaws while B&M has no problem saying, "let them have their fun... we are going to work and work and work on this launch until we perfect it and only then will we offer this to our customers. It's been that way with everything B&M does.

B&M seems to be trying some new things. I think we could see a Maverick type ride coming from them in the next couple of years. Launched shorter trains with 2x2 seated configurations. I think it would be fun to see what they can come up with.

I still think Mack has a good chance of becoming the new standard bearer when it comes to launched coasters.

Let's keep in mind this thread is for 2016 ideas, though, and you can almost guarantee that there won't be a new roller coaster then.

This is more likely...(from Hopkins)

Im about to start one of those "fund me" pages to get a splash battle at carowinds. Now...to figure how much they cost.

Woohoo.. Kickstarter here we come! Personally I'd like to have the money to buy one of these dead parks.. and turn it into Horrorland (yeah I know this never works out well in the movies ;))

Wait.. I just had an idea for a water slide... since Sharknado 1 and 2 was such a big success.. why not a slide designed around
being swallowed by a giant shark and shooting out the.. uhhh.. other end.

isn't that essentially what the dorsal fin slide does?

What is the fascination with splash battles? Coasterbruh mentioned wanting one several times. I don't like them at all.

I still want something log-flume-ish. It doesn't have to be an old fashioned log flume. A cool and new-fangled and exciting log flume-ish ride. I'm sure someone with a much better imagination than me can make it happen.
