The area between Carowinds Blvd and Thunder Road would give easy access to and from.

Awesome pics (as always!), Wormy!!! Thanks for sharing!

Looks like they're moving right along on construction.

I love the black t-shirt. Of course, I still want the Centurion shirt they had out on Thursday.

(Edited to remove some of the over-abundance of exclamation points I originally had in my post...I guess I'm excited for Fury325...)

From the Carowinds Facebook...

So many exciting improvements happening in spring 2015! We listened to your feedback and heard you wanted a way to get into the park faster to start enjoying your day! We’re building additional entrance lanes, and toll booth entry, a bigger parking entrance, and additional parking spaces and we’re working hard to open the brand new toll booth entry this Fall!

That's why its going up so quickly!

<Theory time> What If they want the new toll booths done so they can reroute traffic away from the current toll boots, so they can start demolition of the current entrance/ toll boths by sending people to the south gate?

Maybe I missed it, but is there anywhere that talks about what is being removed for Fury. I know the Plantation House and the GoKarts. Is there a map available?

Jukebox Diner is rumored to be removed but I doubt it will be.

It'd be great if the park built a new hotel/resort where the current "Carowinds Campground" is, (or at least on some of the land.) Another option would be to build a chain of small hotels in the back corner of the south gate parking lot (Next the Thunder Road U-Turn) Although this would conflict with rumors of 2016 Boomerang Bay (Soak City) expansion, it would be a very convenient location with easy access to both the park, and to Carowinds Blvd. (But that's something for a different thread) :D

^How many people visit the campground? If it's not a lot, I say bull doze it and expand back there. Then build a hotel by the south gate.

I was viewing the renderings and for some reason, that diner looks different, or has a different layout. They should at least redesign it or something.

I have went several times. Last time I was there it got filled up pretty well. I love camping, and I love amusement parks. The campground wont be going anywhere... I think they were actually going to "update" it if I remember correctly as part of the improvements but I could be wrong. I will be going back again in September. Why would they remove something that is already successful for a hotel back there? There is plenty of other hotels near by....
