Our ride count needs to be increased, not lowered. Eventually the park could advertise that they have the most rides in the southeast, in the nation, etc...

What I think is really cool is that I recognize a lot of the posters from 11 years ago. Just goes to show how passionate people can be about Carowinds.

What the park really needs is some sort of launch. What do you guys think of a giant slingshot ride like Cedar Point just got?

Slingshot was solid - the video was not working, so I could not buy that for the first ride with my girlfriend, but I have been on the one in Orlando (years ago). Sure, the ride is not long, but it is fun to do! I do wish that CP had a price for re-rides etc.

I was just thinking about the south gate. Not 100% sure but almost 100% sure it won't be around once the new entrance and parking is complete so.....

If they use the lot behind T.R. it could be split into two sections: 1 for a water park expansion and 2 for County Fair expansion.

A lot of work I know but after being at the announcement Cedar Fair ain't afraid to roll up their sleeves.

I seriously could see them preserving the South Entrance until 2016.

Maybe the "big splash" will not only be a water park expansion but also a re-routed South Entrance to work as a Boomerang Bay entrance. It would make sense, and the GP wont shut up about wanting one.

What I'd like to see is for Cedar Fair LP to create another signature attraction that'll be found at almost all their parks. It'll be similar to Wonder Mountain in appearance but the interior will house an interlocking version of the mine & log rides from Knott's Berry Farm. The Carowinds version will be situated where Nighthawk currently stands encircled by the Great Pee 'n' Dee River in which another stern-wheeler traverses daily. Is it a bit too much to ask for a refurbished Eagle Fortress crowning the mountaintop? Let's see... the Ghost Blasters knockoff will be demolished & replaced with Knott's Bear-y Tales with a Greek Revival facade. Oh! And perhaps raze or move some things around to accommodate a circuit for the steam locomotive & carriage. Brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it.

You sir just officially turned the "wishlist" thread into the "dream on..." thread hahaha...

While I do like the flume at knotts, its nothing special and the mine train...meh. I think being so close to Disney makes those attractions stand out more so than silver bullet and xcelerator.
