This is old news, but...

2015 - New Attraction / Possible Dark Ride - Rumor - (7/18/14) According to this local news report Cedar Point’s Jason McClure briefly mentioned what the park has planned for 2015, saying that it “will be a thrill ride aimed at teens and other hard core thrillsters, rather than a family-oriented ride."

(Taken from Screamscape)

Hmmm, what do you guys think? I'm guessing some sort of flat ride for 2015, I can't think of how a dark ride would be aimed at "hard-core thrillsters".

I wouldn't be surprised to see something from the same company that did Wonder Mountains Guardian. That was touted as something for thrill seekers.

Doesn't look really thrilling to me, but it was marketed as such.

I'd be happy with anything the park adds. Can't wait to get back and ride the new DiskO.

The Meijer store is like a nice big Walmart, with stores in Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. They often sell discount tickets to Cedar Point or have coupons.

I thought I heard somewhere Cedar Point may be getting an Aquatraxx water coaster from Intamin. Which looks like a great ride and an improved version over the old log flume rides.

I think the ride is being removed. I don't think they would close the ride that early just to install floorless trains for the next season. Then again I am talking out of my *** and I really have no clue what's going to happen but I'm 100% certain whatever they do will be an improvement over Mantis.

As I recall, nobody ever said standups can't be converted. I seem to recall a few people that think you can just slap a new train type on and call it a day, but that doesn't seem to be happening as they're closing the ride early to convert b
