I really love this idea. There are some great promotions, discounts and other perks. I am definitely going on the tour, maybe if anyone else is going we could meet up.

Carowinds will also hold a raffle (times listed below) each day. All Season Pass Holders who activate their 2015 Season Pass on the 6th or 7th are entered in to win prizes all day.

That sounds awesome! Where it lists the food and merchandise, does it mean it will be given away for free? Or is it at a discount? Also, how do we get the behind the scenes tour?

How frustrating. In so many ways I am reminded how this is not Disney and not Busch Gardens. So much of the time when I call to speak with someone they are rude! Spoke to a woman today and greeted her nicely and asked "How are you today?" She snapped back an impatient "fine" with a "don't waste my time, do you have a question?" attitude. It went downhill from there, not knowledgeable, just wanted to get me off the phone, not listening and making me repeat myself over and over, etc. but I'll get to the point. I just bought 2015 passes and activated it labor day weekend to get my "free 2014 day". Of course then they announce this appreciation weekend they very next day and say 2015 people can go "if they activate their pass on the 6th or the 7th". Well, I blew my day so I hope they have this again next year. So this is apparently only for 2014 season pass holders and those 2015 pass holders who want to use their one free 2014 day. Oh, and don't forget that parking is NOT free for 2015 pass holders. Another wonderful surprise when you hand in your printout expecting to get free parking.

Also, they have these dollar days all the time and had one Saturday of labor day weekend. So the only added thing to this day as far as I can tell is the GM gives a tour and they are giving away prizes. I am not sure how you find out about these as I have not seen any emails about it. The only way we found out pizza, hotdogs, etc at some places were $1 was seeing the signs posted when we got to the park.

I don't get it. In the other thread, you bitched about how food is too expensive, and in this thread, you say they have $1 food days "all the time". Honestly, I've never seen a $1 food day, so I think this is pretty exciting. And since I'm a 2014 passholder, I'll get to partake in the activities. If you wanted to participate, you could've bought a 2014 pass, too.
