This is one of those boards that doesn't allow inserting a pic. You have to link to a separate place where you post it.

We came to SCarowinds 2 years ago on a Saturday and it was not too bad. We also came early in the season. In your opinion, is it best to come opening night (Friday) or wait until the end of the season (as far as the crowd goes). I want to visit when the crowds are not too big so we can ride and not wait in 2 hour lines. Thanks for any and ALL feedback! :D

I know this for 2014, I just have a quick question. So since Fury325 is being built and is basically going to create some flat land, do you think carowinds would bring a new maze in the area like how SSS is located in the middle of hurler? I am thinking in the future nothing soon.

I have never been to SCarowinds when the ride lines weren't terrible. Even when you can almost walk right up to one of the 'mazes', the queues will be full for the rides.

Welcome to Carowinds Connection! What I was told at the ACE SCarolina Coaster Classic last year, they weren't doing the 'production' at the front entrance any more and were just going to open the park at opening time. So nobody is really in charge from my understanding. Of course, things sometimes change based on what they tell us so I could be wrong.

It will be great next year with the new entrance not being a bottleneck.

Went out to Scarowinds for the first time last night. Got there at 7:00 as the rain started pouring. Although it only lasted for a short time, lightning continued until almost 9:00.

Walked through a few mazes but mainly got a few night rides. Lines were great, the longest I waited for a maze was five minutes, (and that's when rides were shut down). Also got front row on Afterburn and front on Intimidator twice before I left at 10:30.

Lastly, the new toll booth IS open! Lots of massive track for Fury lying around as well.

For the new toll booth is the new road open as well or are they making you drive through the old toll booths as well?

The new toll booth and road are open, and yes there is a good amount of track and supports. The longest I waited for a maze was Defex and that was 30 minutes. Everything else including the coasters was under 10 minutes. I don't get why Defex is so popular.
