Hopefully nothing is removed but if any of our coasters were to go I believe it would be Most likely Cyclone followed by Vortex. Before this year I would've guessed Hurler but with the work done on the coaster in the offseason I believe it isn't going anywhere.

Cyclone is a good transition coaster for younger children !! plus it's a classic !! I could see Vortex leaving soon. With a New Log Flume in its place !! you could cover parts of Gold rusher and match up a cool flume in the area !!

LOL! Nighthawk already has the support spacings for a log flume anyway.

I do realize these are different circumstances and a different make but now that Skyrider up at CW is a goner, and Mantis might just be about to get an extreme makeover with new trains, I'd say Vortex might be next to go.

Cyclone does seem like a safe guess though.

A log Flume would work great along side Carolina Goldrusher !! you could have a side beside lifts. Plus you could Theme up both rides. with rock formations and water falls !!

With Cedar Fair's recent trend of removing stand up coasters (or standing up on a coaster), I'm worried that we'll see Vortex go. I'm in the minority of people who enjoy it. I don't feel any pain other than the minor headbanging of the last turn. If it does get removed, I hope it finds a new home *cough* Dorney *cough*. It's a good little coaster and I hope it gets recycled.

Please, Carowinds, REMOVE CAROLINA COBRA. I'll take a 4D free spin though :D They're very marketable and while I don't like spinning, I do enjoy flipping.

If Vortex gets replaced, there's enough space for a couple decent flats. We could get a Huss Giant Frisbee there (That, to me, seems more tolerable than the enterprise contraption). If no ride goes in it's spot, the park could leave it as a pond. We'd have more landscaping and Goldrusher would be near water again :D

Vortex, you may not have been loved by many people, but you were loved by me. :) Have fun at Dorney!

[EDIT] If no one wants to remove Cobra, the 4D free spin can go in Vortex's old spot.

I hope Cyclone stays. It may not be the smoothest coaster in the park, but it's still a solid coaster. It's also a good transition coaster from the planet snoopy coasters to the big boy rides. Carolina Cyclone made me the enthusiast I am today, and I doubt anyone would by an old arrow, so I hope it stays. I think it could be kick-@$$ with the cobra trains [s]once Carowinds has removed Cobra[/s]. Alright, maybe not that good, but it could be as good as Nessie. While I enjoy Vortex, I won't cry over it if it goes. Cyclone is a different story........

Hate to burst your bubble, but Carolina Cobra isn't going anywhere.
Its pretty popular, fun, takes up a very small footprint, was only brought to Carowinds a few years ago, and is one of the best Boomerangs out there, if not only for its vest style seating.

Vortex doesn't bother me personally, but is far from the best ride in the park. I wouldn't cry if it left, especially not if it were to be replaced with a big Mack Launch to bring White Lightnin' back to the park!

Carolina Cyclone is a park icon and I hope it never leaves. Still love riding it.

... and if we are writing letters to the park, Please paint Thunder Road.

I really don't see the park removing any of the coasters any time soon.

The real maintenance nightmares are the wooden coasters, and we see that they've been putting money into TR and Hurler.

They removed Saturator basically because it was a huge cash drain, between the water bill and the maintenance on it.

I think it would be awesome if Vortex got the Rougarou treatment, but vortex is so short. I think that if Vortex were to get floorless trains, they would have to make it more exciting; maybe add a tunnel, launch, or extended track (if that is even possible).

I wouldn't think Cedar Fair would want to put that kind of money into Vortex. It's no Mantis that's for sure... Does not have the potential. Having said that, I'll join the majority and say Cyclone (if not, than Vortex) will be next to go.
