I'd rather see raft/mat/tube slides myself. The intense body slides don't do a lot for me other than beat me up. I like Holiday World's approach and would love to see pretty much any one of the many awesome things they have installed in their water park over the last decade or so.

Yeah, I don't like any body slide that I've ever been on. I'd rather see a water 'coaster' since I'm not aware of any in the area. Regardless, any love the water park gets is good in my book even though I am not fond of water parks.

I really think we are going to get more water slides for 2016 even though we did get some this year, carowinds really does need to improve their water park, but yeah, a waterpark expansion seems reasonable to me

I think they are designed differently now. I have experienced 3 skybox (drop capsule) slides and in all i didnt get beat or or even a wedgie!

My final thoughts on 2016: I think Carowinds will add a water-coaster or drop capsule slide in 2016. Along with that, I think we'll see a planet snoopy Expansion. Maybe the new rides can go somewhere on the other side of Intimidator in the parking lot. The park can start using that space once the new parking lot has been made. In planet snoopy, I think we'll see a Linus-Launcher ride and a Disk-O Coaster. So 3 new attractions for 2016. After that, I don't know.

I think that since we are having our spectacular "3 year expansion" we could see something a little bigger. I was thinking something like Wonder Mountain's Guardian where the action theater is.

Not that I want vortex to go, but there is a good bit of space for a decent sized-coaster. I'd love to see a mack-launched similar to helix:

It could go over and under Goldrusher if it needs room. I wouldn't expect it until like 2019 or 2020. After all, we're about to get a giant giga coaster. no need for another coaster any time soon.

I think that a roller coaster like Verbolten would be a great addition to the park. It could go where the action theater or Boo Blasters is; and it could be considered a dark ride, as well as a much needed launch coaster.

I don't mean to change the train of thought here, but I think that for 2016, we could see something happen to Vortex like what is happening to Mantis at Cedar Fair and how it's becoming bugaboo or what ever... Rougarou! That's it!

So if that were to happen to Vortex, what do you think the theme and colors would be? Or would the name and colors stay the same, and just receive floorless trains, for sake of history? It makes no difference to me really.

I dont see carowinds making as big of a deal as cedar point did. I can see that happening with a revamp of that entire area. maybe a flat or two?

I agree. If this "big splash" is worth having an actual media announcement with guests and stuff, as they say, then I can only see 2016's new attraction being a pretty big deal. Not necessarily big for the country, or the world, but big for Carowinds.

I hope the uniqueness of Boomerang Bay stays. I much prefer the cool Aussie theme to Soak City, IMHO.

We may not see something "with a splash" next year, for all we know, they could be trying to take us the wrong direction. But who knows, i still think boomerang bay could use another expansion.
