I must admit, I haven't ridden the CC in quite a while. Probably two years ago. What the heck happened to the covered helics? Why would they remove it?

I have no clue what they did with It, but I actually think It's kinda cool with It off, I never knew It was THAT narrow!!


But I do miss the tunnel, It was my fav part of the ride(at first It was corkscrews but now those are EVIL!!!!!!)

He he! Sure would. Didn't know the tunnel was missing year round though. You havn't ridden the ride in two years? Must admit that it doesn't get very good atendance, it is getting kind of old. Should it be expansion material in a few years? :ph34r:

Bats in the tunnels. That's just too funny. Should have saved them for a possible Addams Family attraction.

Seam that it might have been easyer to just kill them or something. Then again I do not know the first thing about bats. They could have changed the name to Batman though .

Bats are very beneficial to the enviroment. They eat mosquitos and moths. I commend Carowinds for solving the problem the way they did instead of killing them although I would like to see the tunnel replaced eventually.

Hopefully the Bats won't take up housing in the Goldrusher tunnel. Removing that top would just ruin the last half of the ride.

I'm new to this forum. Just found it. Boy, have I learned a lot.
Anyway. I rode the Cyclone last week. It's getting a bit rough
for me. Either that or I'm getting too old for for my beloved coasters.
I'm glad Carowinds didn't kill the bats. I really wouldn't mind the bats.
I think riding through a tunnel of bats would be an added touch to
the ride, but I guess they had to worry about diseases and such,
and that most people don't fancy bats.


Now if only I had more time to sit and read this great forum.

Yeah I noticed the uncoverd helix at the start of the year.

So are they going to cover it back up?

That was the most exciting part of the ride. lol

Except for the fact that it makes me dream of Loch Ness Monster every time I ride it. (the lift sounds the same)
